hey,
i have been playing GT4 since it came out, and all the other GT's, but recently my friend has bought the game too, and he is at the same stage i am really, but we have this little game where we see if we can by a car and tune it to see if we can get the fasted 100m run, my friend bought the Audi S4 estate i think its called and its lightning quick off the line, whereas i have a Subaru impresa gti something or other, i used to beat him but a couple of milliseconds but now he has tuned it from some thing he found on the net, and now i get left standing there, is there any car that can be won/bought that i can tune correctly so i can him standing there and the starting line :)

ps - if there is already a post somewhere about this i apologise, and i look forward to seeing what advice you can give me :)

many thanks
adam

yes, there is a solution, and it's most likely called Audi RS6, fully modded with R5's. but in case that you have more questions about fastest drag times, search for "fastest 0-400" or something like that. I'm sure they can help you out.

thanks for the reply, thats the one he is using (RS6) the estate one when you say fully modded you mean everything is bought for it? no fiddling with transmission? and r5's i would assume are the tyres?

that is correct. though, traction will be issue on lower gears since it will have over 800bhp, thus I recommend making first two or three gears as long as possible ( lowest number value).

You might also want to try a Ford GT, i've found that the MR Setup helps provide traction for the rear during take-off, which gets you off the line faster

I have a nitrous'd BTR that runs 8's all day.

For 1000m runs, you'll want a good launch as well as steaming top end acceleration. An RS6 sounds like a decent choice, but I'd run something more powerful. Or a Scoobie STi Spec C fully tuned and geared for 230ish. Max the spray, and GO! It'll keep up with the best due to a glitch in the nitrous that I seem to be the only one to acknowledge. 622hp (522+100hp spray) does not make 180mph trap speeds. 1100hp DOES.

If you're looking to destroy, the Escudo can pull 7.7's, and the Impreza sti wrx spec C can pull 7.8's....if they're tuned right.

i have found that the slr mclaren is quite fast when fully tuned makes about 900 bhp or somthing like that but can do 8.5s to 9.0s when tuned right good luck hope you beat the little devil when sprayed it does 400km/h + at the test course thanks

4WDs that have strong tires dont burnout too much and fly right on the Start. It's pretty swift too on rally tracks, and last time i checked, rally tracks weren't that full of grip

You'll jsut endure a lot of understeer, Tune the springs corectly, brake smoothly, to gain oversteer :) and dont full throttle at all during the turn until you are jsut about exiting or you induce more understeer.

Good Luck
