Accelerator Pedal Stiffness Suggestion needed for mod. (T500rs)

I am using the T500rs pedals on PS4. I have noticed the accelerator pedal has started to feel a little weak in terms of spring force. I need it to feel a little stiffer, just like the clutch pedal. Does anyone know of any good mods to increase the spring stiffness?

Or am I better off just swapping out the clutch for the accelerator assembly. However this is a little complicated, as I am not feeling very competent in removing all the little metal O rings which hold the pedals on the shafts.
 
The springs in my accelerator and clutch are identical (since they are meant to be swapped with orientation switch). So presumably you mean the accelerator spring has deteriorated to be much weaker?

Do you have a recent T500 with compression springs or an early model with torsion springs?

early one, the curly springs which are impossible to remove unless you take the pedal off.
