I just had a conversation with MistaX and he sounds like a 40 year old stoner. He said I sounded awesome and wishes he had a cool English accent like me.

So what the hell do the rest of you people sound like?

MistaX sounds strange! :nervous:

What the hell are you on?

You sound like an English man on speed who never shuts up. You just keep talking, and talking, and talking.

And talking.

Your voice is relatively high pitched too, not something I would want to have. High pitched voices are for poopheads, like you, and Doug.

Well you said like three things, you talked so damn slow.

So slowly.

Haha. Bastige has a pimply faced simpsons teenager voice 👍

I had to laugh. Kidman in "The Interpreter" is supposed to be South African. Strange that she spoke like an Aussie then :odd:

No matter what you say, a New Zealander does not have an accent.

No question.

I would ring you Brett and prove it but like it's too expensive.

Brett called me, from the UK, all the way to New Jersey!

Cmon, thats like expensive.

Chris called me all the way from Holland, and he sounded like a terrorist.

There are a few South African people at work, (also I get mistaken for the south african bloke I used to work with but who left about a year ago) the accent is kinda hard to describe.

Also everyone i've met from New Zealand sounds like an Australian. I know i'm going to get hunted down by Taurine now.

Paaaaaaaaaaah.

I have a fair bit of credit on my phone but the amount of effort needed to ring far outweighs the benefits sadly :(

I'd ring you, but i've been all wierded out by calling MistaX.

Heh, I might just call and shout hoon at you. Then you could do a burnout in your car while talking to me.

I sound like a Welshman.

I would never have guessed.

I have an Aussie accent, not a full on country bum accent like Steve Erwin though...

New Zealanders have more of an accent than Aussies. They pronounce their "a" almost as if they trying to get their adams apple to touch their chest.

Now gigo is going to hack my computer and tell me to like the Crusaders :(

Welsher's sounds like Scotsmen, except without the accent.

I love Scottish accents. They sounds so velvety.

I haven't followed the Super 12 (14/16/18/whatever) this year but go the Blues!

ALPHA is a Wellingtonian at heart so I bet he backs the Hurricanes more then the Blues but he only lives over the other side of my town so I could go change his mind..

Funny thing is, I think that I/we don't have accents but I can pick a Kiwi out of a movie quite easily..

Blues + Crusaders = Super 12 final. I want Cullen back!

Aussies and NZ accents are very easy to spot. Mixed accents are just terrible. My uncle moved to Perth like 20 years ago, so he's ok, but people who move to the US and come back with a hybrid sound just aweful.

i used to have a north east england accent but after 11 years of living in the south east thats worn off and i have a plain old southern accent with slight hint of northern

I've got a Rochester accent I guess. I guess it's a bit different in how we say A's but I really don't know. I hear anything from hick to long Island accents daily.

I like Seth Hefrican accents. Scottish accents sound harsh and rugged except for a few that sound "velvety".

Kiwi's say: "fush and chups".

I say: "Shyne ya shoos guvna"!

And then you pop on your bowler hats and open your umbrellas ;)

Seth Hefrican
Only Aussies call us Seth Hefrican you Aussie Welsher. :)

Mostly we are called Sou Thafricans.

PS: 38-36 :D

I seriously doubt the Blues will make it to the Final, well that is judged on my dads armchair refereeing which I can hear from the longue :D

Rod Millen (http://www.rodmillen.com/) has a hyrbrid American/Kiwi accent. His son Rhys has a very, very heavy American accent with a hint of Kiwi in it but I'm not a fan of his, only his fathers..

Awesome, I'm an Aussie Welsher. 👍

Whenever I put on an SA accent I say 'South African', "Seth Hefrican".

Well...if you read that and said it out loud it would sound like an SA accent...

No accent!? lmao, just listen to this radio station call (small frys thread) https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=61948

Now can you honestly say NZ'ers have no accent?

"Geddim"
"Just geddim"

I used to think I dont have an accent intill I went to the US and my voice would stand out abit. My accents like Jack (radicool) said "not a full on country bum accent like Steve Erwin though..."

Well South Africans call ourselves 'South African'. Its just lazy people like me who call us "Sou Thafricans".

I dont know how to describe our accent. Go listen to Ernie Else speak  But even he is a bad example. I know, listen to Anant Naidoo or that other presenter on CNN news. I cant remember her name :(

WE HAVE ACCENTS??
I hope you are joking..

I have no discernable accent unless I lose my temper.

Ron said I sound "posh".

Bastard.

But he comes from yorkshire lad. I thought he would sound like Wallace. "More cheese Gromit?"
