Accomplishments You're Proud Of

So what have you done in your life that you're proud of (other than getting 1000 posts on gtp).

I'll kick things off:

getting married to the perfect woman
my master's degree
my job
getting Eagle Scout
Paying for my college education (and part of my wife's)
 
In general transforming from some kind of urban parasite into a mostly responsible person. That includes:

Finding and marrying my wife.
Buying a house.
Becoming a dad.
Bringing my credit score up from rock bottom to above average.
Finishing school.
Never getting caught for 95% of the stuff I pulled when I was younger.
 
Getting 1000 pos....Oh sory.
Helping to get Connections UK off the ground (it's a friend and future buisness partner of mine's company). I will be joining him at the end of the year when my current commitment is over which I am also proud of, it's training and managing a group of sales people. Over the year since I've been there the sales team has increased from 5 to 15.
I'm also proud of my girlfriend Sarah who I've been with for over a year now (my god, I didn't realise it was that long).
 
In no particular order (cept maybe chronological)

-Survive my teens and early twenties (this was no mean feat).
-Being good at what I do (for a living).
-Owning my dream car at age 25 (see #2).
-Finding the perfect woman and having the brains to realize it and marry her.
-Being a half-way decent autocrosser instead of a chucklehead wannabe, with the trophies and plaques to prove it.
-Retain financial solvancy after losing a bundle of cash helping to start a dot com, buy a house, pay for my own wedding within 16 months; watching in horror as dot com folds and somehow managed to avoid going bankrupt.
-Finally becoming a pretty good guitar player after 16 years of trying.
-Self remodeling our home over a period of 3 odd years into something we're happy with and proud of.
-Mostly doing a good job at being a dad.
-Mostly doing a good job at being a husband.

Next.. working on 1000 posts --not :lol:

Becoming the Post Whore I am or is that Whore poster? ? ?
I am proud of Kristen and everything she has done and made me realize when I met her. I will be even more proud the day I marry her.
I am proud of my Family and friends.
I am proud of raising two dogs for Krsiten and watching her house and car too.
I am proud of my little baby sister for being so smart. . .
 
Finding a wife that actually watches F1 racing with me, to the extent that she asks questions about it afterward.

Not wrecking any Lexii in the year I've been working with them.

Not getting caught for beeing the other gunman on the grassy knoll.

I'll think of more later. Two of three are real, but work beckons....
 
I'm proud of (in no particular order):
  • My education
  • My wife's professionalism, intelligence, and humor
  • My kids, both of whom are 95th percentile of better in school, and are green belts in Tang Soo Do, heading for black belt
  • My professional license as an Architect
  • My overall "jack of all trades" abilities - even if it means being master of none
  • My staff position here at GTPlanet
  • My credit history
  • My personal philosophy, and its internal consistency
I'm no Type A personality, but I think I get excellent enjoyment value out of my life, consudering the level of investment I make in it.
 
I'm proud of owning a WRX. Not only owning, but I'm making payments, paying insurance, gas and any maintence, instead of it being a gift from my parents.

I'm proud at 11:00pm when I go home from a day of work knowing I worked my @#$ off and gave it 100%.

I'm proud of learning from the mistakes I've made in my life and from the phases I've gone through.
 
i have low self esteem...i should be proud of more things than i actually am..

but i did get one whopper over on the british establishment..:D

my kids, wife etc..

starting my own successful business instead of just talking about it...

buying 2 houses..

i teach young children computing and robotics in my spare time...very rewarding..been doing that for 5 years now..

getting a distinction in my engineering degree....

almost being taken hostage by rebels in the Philippine jungle...and surviving
 
Thought of a couple more...

Loosing 35 - 40 lbs last year, getting in shape, and staying that way.

And the most recent would be starting my side business in real estate, which causes me more anxious moments than I like to think about, but is still an achieved goal, nonetheless.
 
Completing my economics degree (even though I hated it from second year and wanted to quit).
Winning the Cowes Golf Club B-Grade Championship at age 17.
Buying our house in Sydney.
Losing 18 kg over 4 and a bit years, and going from a fat, inactive McDonalds eating slob to a lean marathon runner in the process.
Completing my first marathon.
 
I covered the front of my calculator in the foil from gum wrappers. Yeah.

But seriously, I added 60+ lbs to my bench press this year, I'm pulling a B in the hardest class in my school (Honors Biology), and I got my first job this year.
 
A few years ago I was going nowhere, was always broke and i only cared about the fun I would have going out on the next weekend (sometimes from friday evening to sunday evening, and even more...) and the first days of the week were used as recovery time... I'm proud to have found my way from there to where I am now, to have found the perfect girlfriend for me, and to have a family to take care of.

I'm proud to have been able to find more constructive goals, like travelling. I did some very nice trips across Canada, France, Peru and USA, and I can't wait for the next one (Should be Mexico).


...one thing I'm not very proud of is my english grammar. :p I'm sure this post is filled with errors (especially past-tense verbs)
 
I'm most proud of being a great dad to my boys, big booger and little booger.

Everything else doesn't mean ****.

HMM well I'm only proud of one thing and that was beating the crap out of the biggest bully in my school and only getting suspended for 1 day haha OWNED :)
 
Today I cam 1st in my school cross-country run, whcih means I progress to the zone, which I will win (I have for 3 years in a row) the there's regional and if I come top 10 in that I will go to the state championships.

I have been sitting here for about 5 mins just trying to come up with something, anything, that I could be proud of and I can't think of a single damn thing. I feel down right lousy right now. 👎

Don't get me started on that. People actually took the time to complain about my avatar to the mods. Enough people in fact that I was asked to censor it. I mean, who are these people that have nothing better to do than bitch about a teddy bear avatar? Like come on, get a life. :irked:

My greatest accomplishment would be getting over 40 people to join my lame-ass Rumple Club.

I'm going to start pointing fingers because it is always fun to blame people blindly and watch them freak out over un-educated accusations.

I am betting that complainer/wiener Jpec had a huge hand in this.

*edit* Where I wrote 'wiener' I actually ment to write 'whiner'... but wiener fits nicely there too so I will just leave it.

Yeah, thats him. If he isn't complaining he is reporting a post or he is licking a mods ass or he is going around acting super smart ('acting' being the key word;)). Report this too, go ahead.

Taco's(:p) avatar is fine by me. In fact, anyones avatar is fine. I turn on the TV and see worse everyday. People seriously need to pull their head out of their ass' and get over ****.

It's a ****ing bear for christ sake! It's not a man raping a woman, it's not a guy getting hs head blown off... it's a fuzzy bear. He doesn't even have a dick, he just has a lump where his 'pieces' would be.

Grrr.... I stop here before I get too worked up.

Understand - he complains about everything. Don't consider it an honor or anything. Well, OK, maybe you can.

Andrew, here's something you can and should be proud of every single day: when the chips were really down, you decided to see it through and keep going instead of quitting. That's an accomplishment worthy of note.
