This thread is just a place to discuss the Ace Combat Series.
Ace combat is one of the few games that i never get tired of. I dont know why, ive probably restarted each game at least 10 times each. Just something about wasting other fighters and pulling off crazy maneuvers which are probably impossible for the human body anyways. lol
I prefer to play Unsung War the most, i like Zero too, but not having 3 team members and the ability to choose their craft kinda bummed me out.
Im ready for Assault Horizon though, hopefully the developers didnt change it too much. It kinda sucks that they went with real world locations instead of sticking with their own mythology. I just dont want it to be like T.C.'s Hawx... as long as it feels like ace combat, i should be happy no matter what.

As of 7/21/11 at 4:44 in the morning, i have decided that instead of making a new thread, i will add a topic to this one.
Armored Core series. (abbreviate it as A/C
)
I dont understand why its not very popular, other than just some people dont want to admit to liking giant fighting robots lol
I remember the first time i played it on ps2, it was A/C 3... and it was so freakn hard. Alot of it was because of all the numbers/stats. Pretty much everything that would be in a real mech is listed, if one did exist. It confused the crap out of me to say the least. The way i first played it was: Make a heavy Raven, put as many big weapons on it as possible, then... try not to fail.
Right now, A/C For Answer is my favorite (now we have, NEXTS)haven't played the other one for ps3 yet, but have played the rest of the series)) everything works as it should, the mechs look awesome and handle like a boosted mech should. Their formula has basically stayed the same for awhile, but since they added quick boost, it changed the combat a whole lot and made it way more fun.
Im ready for their newest installment, all that i know about it is that its supposedly going to have smaller mechs (like 5 meters tall instead of 10) built for an urban enviroment to perform missions in a more tactical manner (versus going in and shooting as many missiles as possible while firing a Gatling gun and a shotgun at the same time). So to me that means; stealth equipment, more variety of melee weapons, even faster movement, an actual story(? lol), more awesome shooting weapons, and more number/stats. (New shoulder mounted Static Rectifier Adds 1730 to your Optical Camouflage, 35 to PA Attenuation, 570 to Variable Control System, 150 to Vertical Mobility etc...
)
I have not came across any other mech series as good as this one, its a good quality series and anyone who doesn't like it cant say its a bad one... just, "im not into that type of game".
I wish it had more support... more fans=money=more content=happiness
