acquiring all cars?

i'm sorry if this question has been asked before, but i didn't know how to run a search on this.

you know how when you win a championship, there are four cars that come out and the computer picks one? Is the choice random, or is it chosen on performance during the race?
and
If you see a shadowy car that looks really nice, can you acquire it if you win the championship again?

i really want some of the racecars, but i'm having trouble finding them, so i was wondering if i could play a championship over to get a different car.

Yes. You can keep doing the championships until you win the car you want. :rolleyes: :)

i was just sort of pissed after one championship because i got a fricking mini cooper.

Which championship is it? Only Series races you can do again oh and Enduro's to get more cars

Doing a search is easy. Do a search for "save technique" in the Gran Turismo 3 section only. Go far back as a year.

If you have trouble with the search, just ask for help.
 
Yes, the "save/reload trick" would have been an excellent subject to review. You wouldn't have the Mini, but rather a race car.

If you got the Cooper in the Lightweight Cup, there's anyway no other option : this is the only prize for this cup.

If you got the Cooper in the European Championship, then that was really bad luck.
The 4 cars you can possibly get are :
- Lotus Elise 190
- Mini Cooper 1.3i
- Skyline GT-R V spec II
- Gillet Vertigo Race Car

You can play the series again to win another car. (or perhaps another Mini :lol: :lol: :lol: )

the european championship. i was pissed because i saw the shilouettes for the nice cars but then this cruddy thing appears on the screen.

wait...there's a way to get another car without doing the whole race again? because these series are long races. should i search for 'save technique'? can anyone explain save technique to me anyway? i tried looking and couldn't find anything relevant. i'll look more...but i'd appreciate an explanation.

and can you really win the same crappy car over again?

Sorry for the 'search solution' adepts, but all searches I tried gave more than 100 results and I couldn't find what I was searching.
I'll do the explanation one more time.

First, you have to do the series again, and you're expected to have a significant lead before the last race. There, make sure you save your game.

Enter the last race and quit without racing. You'll score no point but if your lead was big enough you should win the series anyway and get one of the 4 possible bonus cars.
If you don't like it, you just need to reload your game, enter the last race... to get another chance.

So :
Yes, you have to race the series again :irked:

No, once you're there you don't get the Mini again if you don't like it. :D


BTW, I like the Mini so much I made sure I have one of each possible colour in my garage:p
