I'm trying to create a dynamic stamp in Acrobat 9 Standard. I've tried following the instructions I've located at a variety of sources and none of it is working for me (and odds are it CAN'T work), though I've had glimmers of hope it could work if I knew what I was doing.
I have a stamp file and know how to apply it. I think I can even get the date to update dynamically. What I need is to be able to bring the stamp into the PDF that is being stamped, and then have the stamp prompt me for some info (user's initials, and to click on a radio/check box to mark status). I can't figure out a way to do this without making a separate form that has to be filled out, saved, and re-imported as a stamp EACH and EVERY time it is to be used.
I really want the blank form to come in, ask you for your initials and the date, let you click the appropriate check box, and then get applied as a stamp to the document being reviewed.
Is this possible? Or does it fall into that overcrowded category of computer-using tasks that are so obviously useful and clearly efficient that they can't possibly be done?
I can provide the stamp file if anybody needs it. Thanks in advance!
