Hey,

My mom received a Kenwood DNX7120 Navigation/DVD/CD/Radio system, aswell as the KCA BT200 Bluetooth adapter.

She's gotten it professionally installed, and the phone can connect to the Bluetooth microphone perfectly. However, the main unit (DNX7120) doesn't produce audio from the phone. And the "Bluetooth" option in the menu is blacked out (indicating that you cannot select it)

After researching, we found that the unit may need a FW update, and we got the files required (Parrot Flash Update Wizard, .plf file). According to the .PDF file that accompanied said files, we are supposed to go into "System Information", and find the "Bluetooth Module version" box and click "Start" to begin the update.

The problem is, there is no such box on the screen, and I cannot proceed with the setup.

Any ideas as to why it isn't there and any solutions to fix it so we can begin using the bluetooth adapter?

Thanks in advance

From,
Chris.

Thanks, but we ended up getting it figured out.

The place we got it installed told us to take it to them and they'd check it, ended up there is a switch on the back of the Bluetooth connector for what channel it should connect on (E, F, and G), that switch was changed to channel G and the main unit was set up for F, and after we got it switched back, it works perfectly now. It even copies the phonebook from the cell phone.

From,
Chris.
