Actual number of cars in game?

Has anyone done a count of GT5 cars excluding regional duplicates? I really take exception to the 1000 cars number.

Three miata's with the same year, engine, body, and drivetrain is not 3 different cars. Left hand drive or not.

That being said, I am cool with the actual number and would even be ok with removing the clutter.

1094 or 95 including everything. You can do the elimination work from there.

Yes. And I spent about an hour trying to find it when I made it in the GTPSP forum, but I ultimately gave up.
 
There's actually 811 standards.

Edit:Just looked through Fido_le_muet list and he's counting the XJR-9 as premium only. That explains it.

And there's over 100 Nissans. [sarcasm] I wonder what makes up most of that...[/sarcasm]
 
more american and aussie sports cars would be nice lol
the miata trip is what gets me ugh
 
I'm up to 1150 or so now, and I'm still finding cars in the UCD that I don't have... Then again, last time I checked, I had at least a few of every variation of Toyota MR2, and probably 5 each of each variation of standard mazda6/mazda atenza.
