I bought both this morning and noticed that the '04 comes with Comfort Softs while the '97 comes with Sport Hard.

Is it because the '04 is easier to handle? The first generation NSX is a bit trickier to master, but still...why would the NSX of all cars come with Comforts????? It's a supercar! Not a Prius!

It's probably just two cars developed by PD at two different times when they had different ideas about tire realism. Really both should have at least Comfort Soft if you want to experience them stock, but racing with Sports Hards if you want.

CS tires work better on an older NSX because it better replicates period correct tires. SH tires work better on the newer ones.

A '97 model is kind of in between in terms of tire technology, so I guess they just flipped a coin and it got stuck on CS tires as standard.

A Prius should realistically come with CH tires as it's not meant to be exciting to drive in any way, just be as fuel efficient as possible, even if it means reducing grip to levels that cause the tires to lose grip at stupidly low speeds.

Nsx is a sports car not a super car i believe ? Could be wrong thought ...
