I bought a handful of things from Lik-Sang over the weekend and they arrived today.

USB -> PS2 (dual shock) adaptor so I can plug my DS2 into my PC. It's a dual port so that's even better.

USB -> XBox controller adaptor so I can plug XBox controllers into my PC. I got a dual port and accidently had a single port in the cart too, so I've got one for work now (: It works great with the NES emulator.

XBox -> PS/2 (Personal System 2) keyboard / mouse adaptor. The reviews are stellar, except for the voice unit quality. Hopefully I can make use out of the thing tonight (:

I'll write reviews of it all later. The adaptor I'm using at work appears to function pretty dang good. I've got one of those old grizzly bear XBox controllers at work, and everything seems to register as functioning, with the exception of both thumbsticks giving the same input instead of acting as two different thumbsticks. Perhaps I need to find better drivers.

I've had one of them for ages. I don't really play any arcade games on my PC tho' so it doesn't get much use.

I think it will be nice for some games. Using it with console emulators is nice. I'd also like to have a controller for games like Battlefield when I'm driving a tank or airplane or something.

And I just realized that I was mistaken on my previous comment about the thumbsticks having the same input. I was watching the wrong thing on the config page and they do infact have different inputs.

Whoa where did you get that from? I need to get one. Even though I really dont play alot of games might be usefull.

Hey that thing is $4 cheaper than mine! And looks better too! Though the clear blue plastic on my is kind of neat ...

I was considering getting a DS2 -> USB adapter, until I started looking and noticed Logitech makes a controller, very much like the DS2, for the PC.. Got that instead.. No need for possible buggy DS2 -> USB adapters !...

I seriously considered just buying a nice USB controller. But to get one the quality of a DS2 you have to spend $30+(USD). And to have two, well double it. So I got this $16 adaptor instead and I can use two of my DS2s on my computer. What I've seen is that they work REALLY well. And besides, I can't play PS2 and computer games at the same time (:

Well I dont think I am gonna buy that adapater thing I guess since I really dont play alot of games. Hey just out of curiosity does anyone else except sony make a Network adapter? for the PS2?

A lot of USB ethernet (and wireless) adaptors will work with a lot of games. The Sony adaptor allows you to use a hard drive (the hard drive connector is on their network adaptor) and it is also supported by all networkable games.

So... Let me get this straight there are network adapters for the PS2 from different people other than Sony? If so are they better?

Better ... that's very situational. The Sony network adaptor for Playstation 2 will only ever work for Playstation 2 because it is spacifically made for it and uses the rear connection bay on the console. All others I've seen use the USB ports and are therefore useable on a computer as well. However, the Sony adaptor will give you the best performance for the Playstation 2. So if you're planning on doing a lot of networked gaming with the PS2 I suggest getting the Sony. If there are just a couple games you want, I suggest checking to see if they're compatible with USB adaptors so you can use it on a different machine at a later time.

If you want to put a hard drive in your PS2 you have to have the Sony adaptor. No if ands or buts about it.

Ok well if GT4 will go online then I have to get me one of these Sony Network Adapters. I dont think I have plans on getting a Harddrive not really that much of a gamer. Just play a few racing and shooting games and thats about it.
*EDIT* Oopss I forgot to say thanks.
