The one that really stands out for me is the sea splash, it is well captured and held the million droplets steady, post production and high contrast would do wonders for this one...
b/w ships could be better if you were closer or had composed the image vertically.
Thanks for the comments guys I also think the ones you picked out are the best of the bunch. As being at a leval before novice I was quite happy with the results of the chosen pics (in fact the 1st one I have in a 900mm X 300mm frame on my wall) as no photoshop work was done on them + they're point and shoot.
I feel now I'm held back by not having a good camera. Hopefully my better half will treat me for my birthday then I can get out there and have fun, Which is what It's about for me.
I will post more pics as I go on and welcome the comments and tips from the many pro's on the forum.

Don't feel held back by gear. A good photographer makes use of whatever he can get his hands on. I frequently take photos with my Iphone, some not half bad either. There are some shots there with potential. As Cano mentioned, the water splash shot has some great potential. I also like the shot with the two boats.
As the equipment limits what you can and can't do, things to keep an eye on are composition and lighting. Well those would be the main things with a DSLR camera too
Decided to take my camera shootin today. I was aiming for a shell ejection shot here are a couple of the shots I got though I'm going to have edit them.
