đź’ˇ Hi all my name is Carlos,
I love this site but the forum of GT4 Car Tuning & Settings or setups is a little spaghetti and meatballs, im not saying is not cool and all, but my idea is do it like a car choice with the settings and setups of each car, like for a example:

the links.
1- Audi R8 "click" apears only the setups of the members with no opinions, only saying this is for curves or drags ect.
2- Ford Mustang
ect.

or better.

and the opinions or the rating the members like a link, like it is good i try it is bad ect. and the best settings or setups go 1st for all roads, thats my idea.
If u are member and you want to post a better one you can help.

Like a stickied thread with links to car settings? That's a great idea. It'd take a long time to make, but it would be worth it in the end...

And what, you are going to have us vote on the best settings? Would that mean each voter has to try them all, or could I just vote for the ones that looked good to me or my buddy wrote? Maybe we could let B-spec bob decide? Or perhaps we could just get Kazunori to tell us...

There are GT dedicated forums that spoon feed settings like that (something about "GT4 and numbers" is one *), I intentionally choose the "ideas" forum.

*I also intentionally chose to be vague :dopey:

đź’ˇ Vote you and the members only once to be on controll with them, Vote for the best for you, but we can be dedicate too, I know this part of the forum can be better. Trust the force hehe. Please you guy's can do it. Because the problem is like for example: Need setings for Opel Speedster Turbo? and then,
If you search on speedster, you'll find existing threads on this topic. please search.
when you search you find like 4 or five of the same. And we dont know who is the real one. Thats one of the problems. I know you guy's put links and stuff, but is a lot of "paper" wasted in one thread. 👎

Car setup is hugely personal though. What one person likes another does not. On this basis, any poll of settings is unlikely to reveal a single "winner".

Is there a reason why you don't want to go and discover the best settings for you for yourself?

I am sorry Carlos, I know you mean well, but you misunderstood my last post. The structure, or flowchart of the site may be a little hard to grasp, but once you understand the search, you get exactly what tunes are, several different opinions, because tunes work differently for different people. Now I know it is comforting to think there is an ideal tune state for each car, but I am afraid that this just is not so. This is true in real life and it is one aspect of car driving that got translated to Gran Turismo. Although it seems like many of the license and arcade cars are better than the simulation cars, some are actually worse and very few "set" cars work better for me than the ones I have tuned.
My comment about the other sites was intended to imply that they impede the flow of information, because they arbitrarily rank tunes. Could I recommend, in your particular circumstance, that you find a tuner who has posted tunes you prefer, then search for more by that same tuner and message him about posting tunes you haven't found. I myself have posted tunes for several people which were based on personal or posted requests.

But you understand the Idea, Is only a Idea, I put in the bottom if someone got a better one, but you understand right? you make it better, I dont whant credit for that, is only make it better. :) Only the part of the setup. and the comments on the bottom or user friendly in that part, something like that. Because this is the only website i know of is updated.

Hi, Carlos, and thanks for the good idea. However, Jordan has already considered adding a Settings database, and rejected the idea. As Giles mentioned, most times settings are too personal to really translate well from one person to another.

In the meantime, though, we do encourage people to post in a single thread on one topic rather than many extra versions of the same thing.

And besides, the times database hasn't exactly gotten off the ground yet. One project at a time (:
