So here is the idea.
Nascar cars
500-600 bhp
Sport compound tires (test pending)
TUNING PROHIBITED
No ovals.

Live qualifying ONLY 1 HOTLAP. 10 / 8 / 6 / 4 / 2 / 1 points awarded for top 6 positions.
Reverse grid from Q main race: Around 150 km | 25 / 18 / 14 / 10 / 7 / 5 / 3 / 1 points awarded for top 8.
Reverse grid from main race results sprint race:Around 70 km | 15 / 12 / 10 / 8 / 6 / 4 / 2 / 1 for top 8.

-Only 1 racing room, at least for now.
-No Q, no racing.
-Light damage in Q, Heavy in Races. In q you are obligated to finish your hotlap no matter how slow it may end up being due to exits etc. Penalty system for cutting etc TBD.

Many things to be added, work in progress, just wanted to get this out there and get feedback.

In a few words, we're talking about a serious championship, no jokers,no whiners,no beginners.
Uber close racing, unorthodox grid orders and therefore extreme variety of match-ups and battles on the track.

If this works, it will be run by the top online racing organizers/managers in GT5 ,PURE.

i would be interested, i like how your using a traditional "toca" style qualifying, however, main races would have to be endurance distance, say 30 laps at laguna seca, with a no tuning rule, laguna seca wouldnt be ideal to race at with limited hp as it really only has 2 clean passing opportunities, it would become to dirty with people doing all or nothing passes, on the otherhand motegi would be ideal as it has 5-7 passing opportunities, cleanly,

id also like to see that teams, if allowed represented themselves in the same car, if teams arent allowed then each person has there own individual paint scheme, unless the paint scheme is virtually similar between the the new and older cars, so that way each person is defined, or each team has the same drivers car but differed by the body shape, ie; if i had a team, i would use the 2011 #42 car and my team mate would use the 2010 #42 car, there for teams look the same but different... lol

Thanks for the feedback i appreciate it.

On your 1st point. If the drivers are of the mentality and caliber i expect them to be,then there should be no problems. Clean racing is a must.

On your 2nd, teams are the last thing i'm worried about at the moment. As for liveries, i'm not interested at all to have a colourful grid. It will be same car for everyone. Racing experience is my priority.

but thats the thing tho, you can really only trust yourself, and people youve gotten to know to race clean in any race, for example, i hosted a 200 lap nascar race at daytona, 15 ppl, safety carn tire wear on, heavy damage etc, we in that race we had less then 15 laps under cation, usually for incidents caused by tire wear in a pack, for that entire race, the whole field was never more then 8-10 seconds apart, the last stint was 65 laps no caution, green flag pitstops went well, had a break away leader, mate this race had everything, coming out of turn 2, 6 or 7 cars were in the lead group, i was running 4th, going down the back strech i got a good feeling, start thinking that it was the best online race id ever been in, win or lose it wouldve been my best online race ever, turn 3 made my move to take the lead, turn 4, 1 pelican, whom i had raced with atleast 100 times before cleanly, decided seeeing as he wasnt going to win, he would drop below the yellow line cut across the grass and lawn dart everyone, i was so pissed off i cant descirbe it,

my point is, you cant really trust anyone,

but in saying, im still interested, keep me posted

i failed to read the sports tires part, lol, that would mix things up lmao
