Hi chaps,

Apologies if im goin over common ground but cant be arsed to trail thru all the threads etc for required details..

Now im very close to ordering a Fanatec 911 GT2 wheel with standard pedals (Cant afford Clubsport ones yet :()...I've had it with GT5 now and will trade in the PS3, thus meaning requiring just the one wheel for PC (Iracing etc) and XBOX racing (FM4, F1 2011)..

Can someone clarify exactly what I'll require before ordering the wheel and pedals for both systems? As in any added required accessories, dont wanna wait ages for it only to av missed a part lol..

Also I have a Wheelstand Pro with plates for the DFGT and MS wheels, can I use either of these with the Fanatec wheel? And does the wheel come standard with clamps? Can pedals be fitted ok to it?

Any suggestions and advice would be much appreciated ;)

2 holes will align straight out of the box. You can drill 2 extra holes for added security but the clamp whilst not the best is adequate when combined with the 2 drilled holes.

Can't comment on the pedals sorry.

You might want to add the shifter set at 30euro. There is a CS edition due out but if your on a tight budget you might want the standard set.

Just to add. Don't put too long a bolt in.
6mm thread.

By the way, if you can't afford the ClubSport pedals, I think finding a set of new or lightly used G25/G27 pedals is a good way to go. I grabbed new G25 pedals on ebay for around $50 and they work great with the adapter. They're not ClubSports, but they're quite robust.

A lot of people, including myself, have had troubles with the standard pedals. The brake pedal doesn't function properly after a while. Fanatec refunded my money for them when I bought the clubsports thankfully. You should definitely get a set of logitech pedals or save for the clubsports.

My G25 broke today and I've not decided wether to buy a gt3 RS V2 and pair it with my g25 pedals or just buy a brand new g27. The fanatec wheels look so big to me and I really liked the G25. Does anyone have experience with both the g27 and gt3 RS? I'd love some feedback from someone that tried them both :)

Anyway if I go for the G27, I'd be up to sell my G25 pedals if anyone wanted to buy em :)

I had a G25 a while back, sold it to get the PWTS with ClubSport pedals. Then I won a GT2 wheel, so I got some second hand G25 pedals to pair with the PWTS to sell it off. The size isn't all that different. The GT2 has a bigger wheel rim than the G25, but the G27's wheel is bigger and is now the same diameter as the GT2's. The footprint of the Logitech wheel housing seemed a little bigger. The G25 and G27 pedal units actually take up more floor space than a set of ClubSports. If you're used to Logitech, I don't think the size of a Fanatec will be an issue.

If you check the forum you'll find lots of opinions on this. Most people will surely recommend the Fanatec in that case. Anyway just look around this section at the various gt3rs threads. You can get a gt3rs+csp combo which is close the g27 price range (note I don't have either so I am just recommending search the site)
