So the daily race today for gr3 was nurburgring 24h layout. I gave it a decent go and improved my time from 8:30 to 8:22 - still some mistakes and I could get it down to 8:20 with a few more goes but the quickest are 8:06.

So if anyone has time to take a look at my lap, I'd appreciate if you can let me know where I'm slow (apart from where I outbraked myself on the GP circuit!)

It's possible to take off 3 seconds reasonably from the GP section. The rest of the lap looks good but that time comes off from carrying a little bit more speed (braking slighlty more efficiently, being conscious of your lowest speed mid-corner, and getting a smooth exit) though every corner.

Since you may be wondering how to take off so much time off an already great lap, I would watch the top 10 replays (better if its the same car), and compare your lowest mid-corner speed to theirs on important corners, it will give you a good indication of where you can start trying to push slightly more to carry more speed.

You can actually access the sector timing sheet in others top 10 replays, so you can screenshot yours and theirs and see where you are doing well and where you need to try something different. You may see that there are a few particular sectors you are losing time on, or that you are consistenly losing a little on every sector.

This is the circuit experience WR by holl (fastest Nordschleife driver without any doubt) worth watching.

Here is a N24 8.04.1 by IOF

Good luck!

Thanks bud! To be honest I very rarely drive the GP track, don't really enjoy that bit.

Didn't realise you could get the splits of the top 10, I'll check that out.

And thanks for the replays, have been trying to find some good ones to follow. wow holl is crazy quick!

You have the same problem like the most other people. You don't brake while steering. If you brake until you reach the apex you will have less untersteering. This makes you so much faster. Release the brake slowly while steering NOT before. It is a good moment when you start to release the brake when you start steering. So you can brake much later and you will be faster in the corners because of the weight transfer to the front tyres.

Really pees me off when I see good drivers using Countersteer assist.
Not even gonna bother watching.
Second video is the better driver.

Thanks, will try to pay a bit more mind to actively trail braking - i guess i can use the brake balance to keep the car stable, I tried this a little before but was losing the back end too much

Do you drive with full ABS?
