The other day I was watching the latest Hagerty video about Alpine, and something stuck in my craw...

As the video pulls some quotes from an Autosport review in 1971 about the A110, I became a little confused...

"The roadhandling is so outstanding that is difficult to explain how it has been brought about"

If any of you are like me, your memories of driving this car stock might not inspire the same language. I decided to try my hands at getting this beautiful fiberglass death trap to drive the way those car reviews made it sound.

This A110 tune is wonderful. Eliminates most of the tipsy weight-shift steering wierdness, and provides a ton or trustworthiness in the brakes and throttle.

Lap 2 of the 'Ring (G29/VR) on CS tires was a delight (8:39). It brought a literal smile to my face. You can learn a lot about weight transfer and car control from this car. Try to remember it is a longitudinal (not transverse) and rear-engine (not mid-ship), it does impact the behavior.

Please try it out and let me know your feedback! I might keep tweaking it, but figured I should share while the A110 is still in the used car dealership.

As excited as I was to see the 964 Turbo S in the new additions, I found the driving experience to be quite frustrating. I enjoy a good widowmaker as much as the next lunatic, but between the floaty suspension and chronic understeer, I decided this car was worth putting some effort into tuning.

Some may find this tune a bit too safe, but you can really throw this car around now. 100% stock except suspension and LSD, and ended up with a 7:35.910 on the 'Ring. Also had to paint it Moonstone.
