I sold this about a week ago, and now I regret. Does the other buyable Trueno stand a chance?

Or is there any second chance to get it?

the normal trueno comes into its powerband much sooner...thereby having more useable power.

the S.S. version has the high-revving Group-A TRD motor. this is a RACING MOTOR, not necessarily a DRIFT motor. for drift..you need a large useable powerband.

i also agree that the normal Trueno is a superior car, unless you're just a fanboy

if you want to win it again, start a new game on a second memory card. Buy the highest power FR car you can, and race the FR challenge in Amateur. Save game and quit. Load up your old card, and then buy it off the second card. Easy....

the AE86 S.S does rev way higher, and the powerband is not as wide as the original ae86, and this is what makes it unique. the ideal setup is a stage 2 close tranny setup, no custom tranny.
then, power her up to about 230hp, and ur set, hell i wish i could de tune her to 180 but oh well:rolleyes:

yeah... i thnk if u swaped out the SS tranny and put the normal 86 tranny in the SS... the car would be much better...

LOL you guys aren't answering the question though...
Do you have a freind with the s.s. trueno or another save file with the s.s. trueno in it?? If not there is no other chance of getting it unless you start a new game and race for it then trade it to your other save file...

Also I personally think it is much easier to drift the longer turns than the shorter turnswith the S.S. because there is more hp, and I love those long turns :p

Super-Supra use the trade function with other friend that already has it, and you must have at least 500,000 credits on your account.

and THAT's the TRD AE101:D

and the regular trueno revs @ 8,000 RPM..

the SS version revs @ 11,000 RPM..

well, there isnt much diffrence but its not as easy to drift like the S2000 but when u know how to control it,it's a beast, its worth restarting IMO

sorry....just trade it with a friend....

i dont know but i think the S.S. is better not because fanboy thing but because it have far mor balance than the normal one. i think you have a difficult time driftin it cause your set ups dont handle the power, therefore making it hard to drift.

drift positive to aim higher.
