Aero Kits - Are options all the same?

If you have a car that can have aero parts fitted (such as a new wing) and there is a choice of, say, three parts then are all the three options the same? I've always presumed the only difference is aesthetic (visual) and they all would produce the same downforce (or whatever). I usually pick the one that looks nicest! But does anyone know for a fact that this is the case?
 
All will produce the same downforce. Just choose a wing by the aesthetics.
