Ok , so this is the problem.

When I tried the Red Bull x2014 junior championship, at grand valley speedway event, all was fine EXCEPT at the end of first lap.
Some dude tries to slipstream, and ends up not overtaking me, instead he gets closer to the right side of my back of the car and I lost control of the car, skidded of track, and everybody walks away like nothing happened.

I think there's a high pressure area in front of the cars, but in other events I got no such thing as this. Also the RBJ IS aerodynamic right? It doesn't have THAT amount of drag in front.

BTW I'm using 1.03 patch#2

One big thing I noticed during these events was I literally could not draft any of the AI cars, but it seemed like they could draft me.

As a whole, has drafting completely changed? I wonder if it has and what other changes PD made secret.

I noticed the same thing about the drafting in this event. I think PD has some strange interpretation of how these cars act on the track. They do seem to be all push and no pull, exactly the opposite of what I would think of the little cars aerodynamic properties. Drafting seems to work as expected on other events just not this one.

Correct, there's no noticeable drafting in that event, and Grand Valley was a challenge for me at first. Golded the other 4 first time, but GV took three tries to get from 5th to first.

What you lose in drafting, you gain from incredible grip. The key for me was to trust that I could take certain turns flat out that I could not in other cars.

If the car you were drafting was also drafting, then the draft effect isn't as pronounced.

So... drafting trains at Route X have been nerfed?
I don't know about that. What I do know is, if you draft a car that doesn't have another car near by the draft is good because you have the advantage and the car in front doesn't.

I'm guessing what actually happened was you were hit by the other car, or more, the invisible box that surrounds it. I very much doubt GT6 is actually modelling the airflow around the cars in real time.

I've had varying results with drafting in the RB Jr. Up against other RB Jrs it doesn't appear to be as pronounced, compared to say, if you're racing against GT cars. If you're up pretty close behind though, I've found the effect is fairly obvious. Against other cars I've had more luck taking off downforce and gearing it longer. Against other RB Jrs, it seems to make more sense to just worry about maximising corner speed. Then again, I guess it depends on the circuit too. I'm thinking mostly about Spa I guess, coz that's where I've raced the most in the RB Jr.

This event came in the same patch as the "real" slipstream setting was added online. If you've tried that it feels a lot like the RB jr. event. Think they just used a more realistic draft setting on this group of races.
