Just a heads up, the iPad Affinity suite is currently free, Designer 2, Photo and Publisher. When you open them, it says start free 7 day trial, click that to open the app. You will notice an 'Account' icon (highlighted green on the left in Photo), click that and choose 'buy' (as in full subscription to replace free trial), the cost is £0 (huzzah!).
I've been using Designer 2 for vector/svg for a couple of years, great but with one big omission (image trace).
They are free on MacOS/Windows too, but you have to download the installers from the serif site, no longer in app store.
Canva bought out Affinity, and have released Affinity Studio, effectively V3, which combines all 3 apps, for MacOS/Windows. The good news is that it too is free, and now includes image trace
I'll be dusting off the Macbook to give it a go, looks like a good free alternative to Inkscape. Studio should also appear for iPad later this year
