After 5 years ive come back and have a few questions

i just got gran turismo 5 about 4 days ago and absolutly love it. I havent played a gran turismo game in 5 years and have got a few questions.

First of , what are seasonal events? i mean do they have anything to do with multiplayer? ive played one race and got some money but where does it say the rewards for coming 1st , 2nd etc? Also if i win every race in the tournament will i win a car?

Also what is this "like the wind" race thing ive been hearing about , is it some sort of special event?

And finally and proabably most importantly , ive grown up alot since those 4 years. When i played gran turismo 4 i had no concept of tuning my car. All i did was upgrade my cars engine so it could preform great...in a straight line.
Now at least i know a bit more. I obviously know the differences between the tires. I think if i get a better transmistion i can increse the gears and therefore increase top speed. But i always see people that buy the fully adjustable shock absorbers , transmission etc. But what is the main difference of being able to adjust your shock absorbers? And also does gettting a engine rebuild increase horsrepower or something? And finally what does restoring body rigidity really do to the preformance of the car , is it really noticeable? thanks
 
Seasonal events are like extra A-spec races. The usually pay alot more than your standard A-spec races and are, in most cases PP regulated.
You can get money and XP points quickly. No prize-cars:grumpy:

"Like the wind" is a level 21, two race, A-spec event.

IN regard to suspension tuning, if you don't know how to, or have some idea how to set up a car i advice you to just leave the cars stock and find the cars you like, or, visit the tuning forum for guides, tips and even complete tunes for all sorts of cars.

Engine rebuilds give you back the lost horsepower on cars that have high milage.
The gain is not big, and very costly. Give your car an oil change instead:)

Chassis rebuild is much the same as engine rebuild, too darn expensive.
Does it help with performance and driving feeling? Maybe it can be justified on a formula one car, or race cars in general. On road-cars i find that upgrading the tires to one compound softer helps, both the handling and the economy.
