I received a SSD to upgrade my PS3 for Christmas. I just finished doing everything needed to make the PS3 work again (backup data, GT5 files, GT5 downloaded to hard drive, create thumbnails for each car). By the way, that takes an entire afternoon to do all of that, still worth it.

So far, I noticed my DLC cars, and chrome line cars (from initial purchase of the collectors edition) do not work. I can see the cars, but I cannot select them to drive. I haven't looked to see if Spa is able to be driven on as I'm still waiting for my car thumbnails to be loaded. I'm curious if other content is having issues too...

Any ideas GTPlanet?!

I'm sorry I have no experience in data transfers to new HDDs, but what sort of speed improvements are you seeing when playing GT5 with the new SSD? Would be interesting to know, I've thought of removing my 250GB and replacing it with a 256 SSD (if the price was right), but it all depends, is it lightning fast now?

I redownloaded my DLC stuff. So far everything seems to be working again.

SSD vs HDD, HUGE difference. Depending what you get that is. My parents went a little cheaper and got a 60gb ssd. After all the updates, PS3 and GT5, downloading the game to my SSD to load faster, I have approx 26 gb left. I only play GT5 and a few other small games on my PS3, so this should work for me.

My SSD is a NOVA Sata 2, read 270MB/s and writes 240MB/s with 60 GB space. It directly fit in the PS3. To a T it fit, no custom shims or any BS.
