I have a problem, should I get a MacBook Air, for 1000$ a Macbook Pro for 1200$ or a cheap, generic PC.
The Macbook air is nice and cheap, although i'd hate the 11in screen, So id get the 13in, but thats more than the MacBook Pro 13in and i hate PC's

If you've gotta have that bigger screen, then go with the MacBook Pro. It also has a faster processor, bigger hard drive, and is cheaper.

If price is more of a concern than screen size, go with the 11" Air. Admittedily though, you could get a decent full-size non-Apple laptop for that price, but I can't blame ya for wanting an Apple. But something to consider.

I like my cheap generic laptop better then my macbook. I also like my nice desktop, better then my imac.

What are your needs? If you aren't gaming and therefore don't mind the integrated graphics, I'd go with a MBA 11" + a cheap external monitor (my 22" Dell was $150).

You can build quite the gaming machine for $1000 or buy quite a nice looking laptop for $900(similar thickness but lighter than an MacBook Pro at 3.74 pounds. Comes with two year warranty and a one year accidental warranty. Same i5 CPU, same 4GB of DDR3 RAM, 640GB HDD while the mac has a 320GB for the cheapest option, Same 7 hour battery life - should note the mac got that with 50% LCD brightness, and Intel graphics + Nvidia GeForce GT 520M - which means you can play games with it).

Read the review here.

If you are interested in having an external monitor then I'd suggest this. Hard to beat $90 for 20" screen, 1600x900 resolution, and VGA and DVI support. Also has onboard speakers but we all know they lack a bit in the sound department.

Gaming isnt impotant, however ill probably get chrome for it, and slideshows, excell and word is important. Web browsing and portability is good too though. I'm mostly looking at the Sony Vaio or MacBook Pro
Also I want a laptop :)

Umm it's a 13.3" laptop. It's still classified as a laptop despite it's small size. You were also talking about the 13" mac too.

Macbook Pro would be my choice. My sister loves hers and my girlfriend has a Vaio and I'd without a doubt go for the Macbook every time.

If your considering pc I'd also suggest checking out Dell's site. You can customize every model they carry and change things to upgrade what's important to you. That's what I have and love mine but I'd still go with the Macbook if gaming isn't important to you.

If you need portability, which I consider a huge bonus, get the Macbook 13". I have one, and imo it's a no-brainer.

You could get an Asus U36SD their thin, light, powerful and depends on which model cheaper.

The U36SD is a 13.3" notebook with CPUs ranging from i3~i7(Dual Core), USB 3.0 and HDDs ranging from 120GB(SSD)~750GB(HDD), Windows 7 x64 SP1, they all have an nvidia 520GT card, 4GB RAM. and they are only 2cm thick(.74 inchs).

I play minecraft on mine and i can even play TF2 on full.

But it is up to you.

Edit: Seems only america only gets a 640GB HDD and an i5.
