Mmmm.....mid twenties degrees celsius, shorts and T-shirt, tending the BBQ (on which we are having grille potato, corn and fish) from which I can see the TV - and the cricket's on, G&T in hand - do Friday evenings get much better than this?

Got to love it. Today wasnt that hot or cold, it was just right. Now all i have to do is get up of my lazy arse and jump in the pool.

Grrrrrr!

7am, Friday morning, dark cold and wet, London in January.

Indeed - it was ideal - even if I was at work - but the evening is perfect. I'm working the BBQ, the TV, the laptop and chatting to the partner. Hey - I'm multi-tasking!!

....and Steve Waugh gets his ton off the last ball off play - sen...sational...

True - and I could always soak myself in petrol and set myself alight - there are always options! :D

Dare yourself silly.

There are photos of me on this site - I'm a 'blokey' looking bloke.

Besides, they're far too restricting - and it's hard to get heels in my size, my feet are too wide.

Yep, i've seen the piccys. Particularly liked the one with Murray!

Hard but not impossible to find?

 I'm gunna leave this alone now but i honestly think red gingham with lace trim. Nice and light and summery. I seem to remember a red dwarf episode where Rimmer ended up in a similar little number.

Well - my long suffering partner has the same size shoe, but her feet are narrower (and I don't have small feet for a bloke) - so I guess I could probably get them...

Was that the one with the hand puppet penguin?

They ran a marathon of Red Dwarf here over New Years - with the series in reverse order, of course......

Mr Flibble

Twenty hours WOO - without oxygen....

Reverse order - makes sense with that great episode where time runs backwards...

It doesn't sound like it. Unless you're in Phoenix, AZ in January. Seventy degrees F, sunny and calm, London broil on the grill, Pilsner Urquel in hand, DVD ready to go, no work for two days... I Love winter in the desert.

Why can't the whole world convert to the metric system?

Sounds pretty ideal.

Winter in Holland:
It's now 2 degrees Celsius, it has been raining all day and the showers will continue till tomorrownight.
It's grey and dreary outside.

Only good news is that the rainshowers may turn into snow, because the temperature will fall down below zero in two days.

Because of America. I have two words: Mars Lander.

Well, America is the country that for some nonsensical reason clings to inches and feet when metric is clearly better (all tens). And the Mars Lander failed because of calculation discrepancies between metric and standard measurements that nobody noticed . If eveybody used metric, the Mars Lander would've worked.

ouch...the Mars Lander...

As for grilling, and t-shirts. I envy you greatly. Althoug I grill breakfast on a regualr occasion (even in the winter). Steak, Eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes and peppers.

Summer time usually will find me on Friday in front of the grill. Steak, burgers, hot dogs, Kielbasa, sausage, and any number of veggies. Usually with a boilermaker, or a V&T. and the random cigar.

Australia, Land of the Cockatoos.

Inches and feet suck. Millimetres, Centimeters, Kilometers, Kilogram, Celcius, etc own!
