Who here, besides me dreads putting up series circuited christmas lights? ...in 15*F weather? ...+ wind chill factor? ...with no real winter coat? ...no gloves, hate, boots?

not to mention I have to play with most of them for an hour a strand to get all the lights to light up so its not only half a strand lite.

Im real excited. What do you guys think?
 
Well im usually forced to help my dad put them up, i hate having to deal with burned out bulbs, but i guess thats why we put then up earlier so we wont freeze our fingers off in the middle on December.
 
We have these nifty "light trees". You basically just set up in your yard, plug it in and tada - you've decorated. I despise net lights that people throw on their bushes; they look awful.
 
I love how much energy they save, and the way they can make any hillbilly shack look like a dream palace lit up like heaven.

There is no better way to spend an after noon then 20 ft up on a old steel ladder checking 700 bulbs while freezing your cojones off.

Ha! I've never put up any sort of decoration. My mother rarely does, but she plans on putting some lights up this year.

I put mine up on Saturday. Most of the strands worked straight away and it was 72 degrees and sunny. I wore shorts and broke a sweat. Ha ha.
 
National Lampoons Christmas Vacation is the only good Christmas film. Where I live know one has heard of it. Its on in the UK this year, Christmas Day, channel 5, 9.20.

If you havent seen it, watch it. you wont regret it!

I payed somebody to put my lights up, and it was 76° out while I was inside watching TV in my short pants. So, ha ha ha!
 
Yeah, the weather has been a real bich lately. Why, just this past weekend there was sun all over everything, all over the streets and sidewalks, all over the cars. What a mess. I had to put on sunglasses and shorts just to go outside. Winter's rough. :lol:
 
great, some smashed bulbs, no replacements. This just get beter and better.
