Wellll I finally got my act together and took my car to the Nissan dealership near my town and got their full 90,000 mile service plus some other things. The cool thing is the guy there knew about SR20DET's so I'm happy about that. Anyone else here experience Nissan's 90,000 mile service?

Haha. Everything.

1) I need a new radiator.
2) I need new brakes and brake pads AND shims on all four corners.
3) The 90,000 service is already $775.
4) New headlight.
5) My car is 15 years old...15 years of wear.
6) I have finals tomorrow.
7) 6 Dosn't relate.

We get our R33 serviced at a Import Tuning garage called Technic Tuning. The last time we put it in for a minor service (oil change ect.) along with the installation of a catback exhaust, it turned out that the power steering is leaking some kind of crazy fluid. New spark plugs are needed and the break rotors need to be polished after all that hard breaking while doing run after run on the Yarra Bend mountain pass ;) I've always believed that dealer mechanics will take advantage of people that dont know jack about their car and in effect will charge them $1000 to fix the uh...extracobrillium megsamoid..."I dont know what that is but it sounds important..heres $1k"

Sounds like you got fleeced. I did pads and rotors for under $150...its not hard...say an hour and a half labor. And I dont imagine a radiator would be that hard...nor the headlight...

I say I could do the labor myself, however the time it would take for the parts to get here would mean I wouldn't have a car for a longgg time. Since I'm in highschool that's not a good thing.

Only money? you must be one rich bastige....I make almost 80'000 g's a year, and I would still do it myself, mostly just not to get ripped off ! ( Rad, 1hour 1/2 maybe, brakes from rear, 1 or two hours, headlight, 10-15 minutes ) it was alike a 4 or 5 beer job, that it ! ......crazy
