AI cars not coming in for a pit stop ?

So I was playing an Arcade race (15 laps around Circuit de la sarthe) and I had to go for a pit stop a couple of times to change my tyres when it started to rain, but the AI cars didn't and eventully I finished in the last place. So, the question is, will the AI cars go in for a pit stop or not ?

It was raining through out the race and I only changed tyres between 'Rain' and 'Intermediate' when it stopped or started raining.

well I've Noticed in B-spec mode After Lvl 20 :< they do pit. When needed,

Sounds like those A.I.s were on Sports tires - probably Sports: Hard. Likewise, it sounds like you were on racing slicks.

Sports tires are "rain tires" on their own, so you shouldn't need to change them based on weather. The A.I.s are also a little more cautious with their driving, and don't burn their tires up quite so fast.

I wondered this just last night when doing the first Enduro. In GT5 the AI cars do pit as expected (although, I don't know if they still pit with one lap left or pit instead of finishing the race ). However, there is no indication on the HUD display anymore 'X Car is entering the pits' or whatever it used to say.

Yes I was using the Race tyres, didn't know about the sport tyres being "rain tyres" aswell, thanks for the info
