AI cars on endurance races

WTF, i just did the 4hr roadster event and the AI only pitted a few times. i had to change tires every 42 laps or so using racing medium tires and 63 using racing hard, i noticed they didn't pit the first time until i was on lap 95 and they were only 6 laps down. i was just wondering why my tires were wearing out so fast compared to theirs and is it like that on all the timed events
 
If you are driving fast to lap the competition, then your tires will wear out fast. If you are keeping up or barely lapping the AI, then you might want to pony up the $$ for some Racing Hard tires. HTH.

the only mods on the car are racing computer chip, intake, and racing filter and i have racing hard tires but they only lasted about 20 laps or so longer than racing mediums did
 
Sounds like you're driving A LOT harder than they are. I bet if you were Sunday driving like the AI cars you wouldn't wear the tires so badly.
 
X2, the ai cars drive the perfect lap, slow and steady, where as we tear around like nutters
