For those who have not been aware of this problem: There's a flaw in the 24 hour races, which comes from the fact that all AI-cars also use the Physical Strength value of their drivers as a trigger for pitting.
As a result most of the AI cars after a while start pitting every lap, because the 2 stints that they can go with the tyres/fuel/strength even in the beginning are not long enough for the drivers to recuperate and therefore they get thrown into the cockpit at shorter and shorter intervals and never get the chance to recover throughout the race.
This would be so easy to fix by just removing the strength-trigger for the AI cars. That doesn't even require re-programming, just changing the parameters of those races. It is beyond my comprehension why they didn't fix that yet.
It basically makes any decent 24 hour race a joke after the first couple of hours. I'm really not complaining about a lot of things in GT5, but it is somewhat strange that what even by PD themselves has been set up to be the ultimate achievement in GT5, is being made so easy by a flaw in the logic.
