AI pitting?

So ive never done any of the long races and just started 24 hr le sarthe

Im using rain tires becuase its lightly raining and the track has 100% water surface

ive already pitted twice in 13 laps and the AI havnt pitted once,i havnt been heavy on the throttle that much and keeping wheel spin to a minimum
 
Try sport soft, that's what I use in rain.
 
I swapped to soft's when i read your post and have done 7 laps since,they are hardly used 1 bit...why would they even put wet tyres in the game if they are useless....
 
I use intermediate tires, the softs were too slick. I think I was getting like 20+ laps on a set at a time.
 
I tried intermediates but I found the Sports softs lasted longer. However I do find it odd how the AI drivers can go so long on a set of tyres..
 
A-Spec grip isn't set to real, so Softs work better than Rain, however try that in practice or an Arcade race with it set to Real and you will be in trouble.

Sport soft dont have that amount of grip as you'll get with rain on a 100%wet sufrace.. but they last longer.. and the difference in grip really aint that much IMO.
