AI still dead slow. No improvement.

Start at the back of the pack. Deep forest, 3 laps, Pro level using Favs or arcade cars. Very easy, win by 9 secs.

Any chance of a slider to pick my own AI speed or skill level?

Was really hoping for this to be fixed. I don't race online much.

Just tried with S2000 GT1 Turbo. Won by 21 secs! and practice 1 make in A-Spec just lets you win too.

Full race editor would be great or else this game will just be used for hotlaps or very occasional online.

I'd say it's hit or miss. Do my racing at pro level, no assists, ABS at 1. Pre-update at Monza with the Ferrari F1 2007, I won easily with "full" damage and getting banged by a few cars such that my handling was pulling to one side. Post-update at the same track, but less downforce to get me more speed on the straights, I had to work hard just to get 5th.

But then I took the '07 M3 to Tsukuba for a 6 lap race. Was in 1st after 5 laps.

I wish the PP for the AI were displayed so you'd know beforehand how things might stack up.

That's not what they are concerned with...

So it looks like they're not really interested in offline, do you mean?
It should get some attention at some point though.

Well I'm not sure if I got this right or not, but there's one thing I found:

When you look at GT1/2 & GT3/4, the latter of each console's GT series was always significantly better than the former one, like significantly. So if they are gonna produce 2 GTs for PS3 as they did for PS/PS2, GT6 would be a [fill your adjective here] game?

No way am I even going to think about GT6. We won't get that for another 3 years.

The Mayan calander says the world is going to end in 2012.

That can't be true, a fortune teller told me I will die in 2018.

But yeah, GT5 is the focus for now. At least we are getting these little patches, and that's likely to continue for a wee while at least.

except this time we had GT5P before GT5 came out.

also, the other games didn't take 6 years to finish. not that it helped GT5 considering they're STILL working on it even now. worst part is, the patches are mostly adding basic features that SHOULD have been the main priority.

We had GT4:P over here, too :p

GT5 was obviously released too early. Games take so much longer to make these days, in terms of total man- (or woman-) hours. GT had just about reached its limit of recycling with GT4, so it needed to be started from scratch - apparently. Although, there is evidence that they took precisely the same approach with certain things...

They brake too early, fix this and things will be much better

Atleast the AI is much more realistic now - Bob went and bumped a NSX LM Race Car in the back - Both of them spinned out. Just 2 seconds later he bumped a GT by Citroen Race Car and he spun out too (Bob didn't this time).

If you want better racing, use tires that are lower in grip.

Forgot about that. Will try it later on.
Would also like the opportunity to increase fuel usage to force pitstops in shorter races.

Just tried changing tyres for less grip.

If I put hard sports tyres on the Guraiya, it loses it's appeal and is not as enjoyable to drive but I'll have to use that for now.

Weird how they already had a difficulty slider in GT5P and took it out.
