i'm trying to copy a game to my hd and be able to play without the cd. so I made an image using the program, then i right clicked on the virtual drive and hit "mount image" and picked the image. but when i try clicking on the drive it starts the game as usual, then says there is no cd inserted. i'm really confused.

Most likely the game has software installed meaning it has to be played with the disk to prevent illegal activities.

You probably need a "No CD Crack" which we are not allowed to discuss here.

Or just play the game how it was supposed to be played

The game probably has copy protection. You need to find out what kind of copy protection the game uses and select it when you go to copy the disc.
