One thing (I think) is missing from the alert preferences, is an option to manage email notifications when you're part of a group conversation.

I created a large group conversation this morning with about 40 members, to continue our now defunct social club. But it seems a lot of people in the group, if not all of us, are being bombarded with email messages and there's no way to stop it other than removing yourself from the conversation.

Any ideas?

Oops, OK, I think I figured this one out for myself. For the benefit of others, go to your profile, select "Contact Details' from the list on the left side. There is an option:

Receive email when a new conversation message is received
Email notifications for new conversations, replies to existing conversations, and being added to an existing conversation.

Uncheck the box and you should stop getting emails.

@jjaisli Head to Contact Details from the drop-down menu under your name, and uncheck the third box. Mine was already unchecked, so I believe it carried over from GTP11's options.

(EDIT) Ah, there we go!

I have one suggested change to the "alerts" box at the top of the screen. The problem is that I'm very rarely at the top of the screen and alerts could be piling up while I'm reading posts. I think the alerts box should follow the user as they scroll so it's visible in real time.

Under the Alert Preferences, there is this part called achievements. I see "New Trophy", what is this ?
It says we are awarded a new trophy for passing a milestone. What are these milestones ?
It is something that we as members can physically see somewhere in the forum or is it something that gets passed out by the Mods to the members ?
How many trophies are available ?

@Nicksfix It's a feature of the forum software. I'm not using it here / haven't set it up yet.
