The Alfasud Sprint 6C was developed in 1982 as a planned entry for Alfa Romeo into the Group B rally championship, but ultimately, the 2.5 litre GTV-6 engined 6C never had its day, since Group B rally cars were stopped due to their extreme speed and danger. Ultimately, only one Sprint 6C was made - the prototype version above...but that doesn't mean that we can't get our hands on it on GT...:)

So this thing was built in 1982. Group B was banned in 1986. WHAT THE HECK WERE THEY DOING IN THOSE FOUR YEARS?
Probably striking.

In 1982 the FIA decided to change regulations to reduce, limit the power of the cars. So this car couldn't not compete in 1982 and in 1986 the Group B was ended.
