"The Alfa Romeo Giulietta was introduced in November 1977 and took its name from the first Giulietta which was built from 1954 to 1965. It was a new design on the chassis of the Alfetta and also had the transaxle construction. The Giulietta had a new aerodynamic line that later also was used in Alfa Romeo 75 and Alfa Romeo 33. There were two engines available: a 1.3 and 1.6. In May 1979 there was a 1.8 engine and a year later Alfa Romeo presented a Super Giulietta 2.0 engine. In the summer of 1981, both the outside and the inside of the Giulietta under went a facelift while the engines remained unchanged. End of 1983 was the third series Giulietta introduced with minor exterior changes. Built by special performance workshop Autodelta the Giulietta 2.0 Turbo Autodelta was presented in 1982 at the Paris Motor Show. This special version had a 1962 cc engine with turbo. The production versions had 170 hp and was equipped with a KKK turbocharger and two double Weber carburettors. All turbo versions was black with a red interior. There were only 361 ever made"
