To me, this seemed like an unbelievable waste of an opportunity. As much as I love the GT games he's created, I really don't care what Kaz thinks about Ferrari, what his opinion is about why Ferrari is so alluring to the public, or how much he likes driving a 599 down a nondescript road.

Also, the film crew got access to the Ferrari factory, and the most valuable, interesting things to cover were the stitching of the seats and the plants strewn about the place?

But what really got me were the interviews. What was amazing about it was the number of words spoken without any sort of unique information. Anyone on Earth can sit down and say, "Aren't Ferrari's Great?" The fact that the guy they interviewed, who could share a wealth of interesting information about his unique position in the company (of course, without giving away trade secrets), basically said, "yeah they're fun and easy to drive" was very frustrating.

This is just my opinion, and I could be wrong, but the film crew had a unique opportunity to show us things about Ferrari that could only be gleaned from going inside the factory, and they showed not only nothing, but 15-minute empty vessel.

I think what some people forget is the fact PD was even allowed to film inside the factory was a feat. Ferrari is extremely picky about what can & can't enter their factory. Owners are not even allowed to photograph their cars when they come to see them.

PD may not have filmed everything we wanted to see, but I'm glad we got to see some of the business that goes on behind those doors. Anything else PD could have filmed was probably not allowed to do so.

I think those movies should be free - because they're commercial-ad in fact - and paying for watching commercials must be:

a) the point where commercial society has finaly reach it's utter dissrespect for human,
b) the conceptualistic-art approach in post-post mannire, or
c) just plain ridiculuos.

Pick your favorite, while I must warn you that b) is not the correct answer.

I'd pick c) just plain ridiculous 👍
I have seen a video of Ferrari's factory before, this is not the first video of it ever. It is only the first HD video.
Seen this factory years ago, too. not in HD though ...
I like Lambos more anyway.

I would have liked to have seen more of the manufacturing process, and 14 (or so) minutes was too short for the price.

Yeah, there was even a recent programme on TV I watched where someone was buying one of their F1 cars (2002 I think?). Got to see quite a bit in that too.

Bad answer. There is already document that's from Ferrari factory and is in HD resolution. It's called Ultimate.Factory.Ferrari.HDTV.xvid.720p.avi , I already watched that once and deleted from my HDD. These documents are just boring. :)

Have the test drivers do a few laps of Fiorano with the F1 cars of years past, and film that, with onboard shots and pedal shots too. Now that would be interesting. Then let Kaz take one out for a spin, and then I would be interested to hear what he has to say about it. Remember Ferrari is a race team first, car maker second. PD is focusing on the wrong part of Ferrari. Enzo Ferrari hated the idea of producing super high performance cars that only the rich could afford, but at the time it was the only way to fund his team's racing effort. And the quality of the cars at the time showed that, as they had many complains about them. One complaint in particular was that the sides of the cars were different lengths.

....One complaint in particular was that the sides of the cars were different lengths.

Correct.... quite often a result of the bodies being produced by other companies such as Scaglietti, Vignale, Ghia and then stuck on top of a Ferarri chassis and engine. These were true hand built (or coach built as it was known) cars.... a somewhat common practice in the 50's and 60's for companies such as Alfa Romeo (Zagato, Pinin Farina, amongst many), Lancia (Pinin Farina, Zagato), Mareratti (Gentilini and Allegretti, Zagato, Vignale, Fura, Pinin Farnia). Even Aston Martin used Zagato to help make the DB4 more competitive.

Some of the most beautiful cars ever made were produced during this period.

I didnt even bother downloading this one... I think that GT-TV is a joke at the moment... Top gear can be obtained for free if you know where... and the only interesting thing I downloaded in my opinion, was the D1 Ebisu race event coverage... that one however was worthwhile for me... filmed very well and pretty exciting :)

Yea I think that GT-TV is gonna flop due to content. I just watched them go in depth on Natgeo about the 599 is built for FREE. Lol they focus more on the game.

I loved that episode. I wish they could show lil more on how they did their engines, but that would take 2 hour show, and PD only had 3 short episodes to do that.
