All AMG races finished with SIXAXIS and AT!

I wrote this post just for share and show to the people all is possible in this game. I wanted to give encouragement to people who can not passed yet and feel demoralised.

I have passed all AMG races with my SIXAXIS and using Auto Transmission.

Throttle: X button
Brake: Square button
Car Settings: All assists OFF / ABS:1


If I can do, everyone too. If you have any questions you can ask....

did you get all golds? because if you did i'm impressed, i gave up trying on my ds3, much less sixaxis!!!

i gave up on the full lap nur, for gold, settled for silver. i already own the clk-lm anyway

I'm playing with the same setup, sixaxis, brake throttle on square and x and abs 1. But I have only manage silver on all the amg-events so far. Well, I might have one gold, I havent played that event for a long time.
 
I have done the same. I just have the imtermediate full lap to do.
 
same but all silver and using manual (3 attempts at each), manual will help in the wet short shifting.

Wet times are really loose. You shouldn't have much trouble if you get into it.
 
I recently completed all gold in the amg challenge, it's not that hard just practice. Also i'm only 2 seconds away from gold on monza x2010 challenge and yesterday I finally golded the alfa 8c race in the grand tour. All with a ds3
 
i'm a sixaxis veteran, never used anything else.
 
....silvered every amg event first time and took a few attempts at gold some first time, ds3, derp thread of the week
 
I'm also on full gold using a DS3, busted my fat fingers doing it though.
 
I beat all a-spec with the sixxas. But then switched to the g25. Both have their advantages,but nothing compares to the wheel. Better performance all around. Currently saving for the g27

A tip for sixxas: map the accl./ brake to tthe right analog. It works wonders for throttle control

If he/she got golds, he/she would have at least mentioned it once no? Congrats none the less.
 
Thank you guys for your kind words. I am really happy that i passed all licence tests and amg academy with sixaxis and got all gold. In past i shared some videos about how i did them, you will search and find in the forum. I am pretty sure that GT5 is built for wheel systems not for controllers. That's why polyphony added controller sensitivity into the game with an update before. With this controller sensitivity setting the controllers get more advantage otherwise driving is suffering in the game.

the one i struggled with most was the SL '54 in the wet. Took me an age to do, managed to gold it with heaps of time to spare in the end, strange.

This test and the alfa 8c eiger are probably the toughest i have found

If you already own a G25, it's not worth upgrading to a G27 since they're pretty much the same wheel in feel and performance. Save a bit more money and get the T500RS.

Maybe you dont beleive me but be sure that in rain full laps are more easy to pass than compare dry ones. I passed 15-20 seconds earlier in one of the rain full lap race. Just try to know brake points and follow your sector times. You can know how good or bad you drive with these sector time info. Dont worry if you dont make bigger mistakes you can pass because target time is not less like intermediate full lap. The intermediate full lap race is the hardest race in all amg races. I will share my videos soon for amg maybe videos will help you.

They werent that hard, i used a dualshock 3 with the accelrator and brake set to R2 and L2, i golded most of them after 1 or 2 tries. The only ones which will give you trouble are the begginer section 4 and intermediate full lap. I used auto transmission traction control 1 and ABS 10, everything else set to off. Its really just a matter of knowing the track, you cant expect to just go out there and gold it straight away, on my first account i gave them a go and only managed some gold and some silver, on my new account i gave them a go the other day and golded them all in about an hour and a half.

Wow thats a lot of scratch. Do you have one? Maybe ill check ebay,i hate buying used though
