just wonderin' if any of you have a car thats FAST, grippy(to an extent), and can drift. Like an all around car that you use not just for drifting for fun but for actually racing against other cars that aren't just drift but alost grip.
Mine would have to be the Subaru Impreza WRX STi ver.VI (GC8 99'), pushing 1 less than 500hp ^__^, top speeds of 180mph, and can drift almost any turn cept' the really big ones where i kinda have to nitrous my way through or grip it

so ya, tell me whats YOUR car

Subaru Rulez 👍 -PaulC

MY brand new Skyline R34 GTR N1........803hp

Drag................Drift.............Grip.............but ill still need to get some drift settings

heres the beast in a time attack run.........

I can go through turns with the same car,I have tried it before. I just prob take a different line than you

Well the Spyker fits that description, only backwards.. I try to grip race a stock one, but the rear loves to hang out :)

I prefer the FD3S in this case.. preferably the Spirit-R.

My black 787B would fit that role I suppose. I guess my Nismo R32 too, but I haven't raced with it yet.

i love my MR2-Spyder, i have two different settings for this car. a pure race and a drift, same goes with my bathurst r and NSX-R

hehe, i kinda like this thread

i have a few set like this, but i drive them in more of a speed drift than a grip style . My EvoIII fits the bill pretty well if you go up 1 tire compound.

When i tune, i tune for balance before anything else, so by just making an adjustment to the way i handle my car they should all grip decently well (with exception given to my sil80 - the wings make it unstable at speed).

I think this will hold true for most FR's and MR's people mention as long as the settings arent unreasonable
ie, not using 10 degrees of camber in the rear, severe mixing of tires, or a 0 | 30 wing setting, etc etc
Its just a matter of knowing the cars limits and driving at or just beyond them to get it to behave in a grippy or drifty way.

By my reasoning, this presumption holds true for a car whether it be stock or otherwise.

This car was tuned for touge 👍 love it. Ever seen it run on Best Motoring?

Heck yeah! First Best Motoring DVD I ever bought. It's the reason I picked it, besides the fact I have drooled over S2K's since the day they came out. Ahh I remember that day.....Nice sunny afternoon at Daytona Beach Honda, almost talked my Instructer into buying it! :sly:

Used lotus elise. I just discovered the wonders of the ballast weight :)👍 this car is great for the lift-off drift technique too, even with sports tires in the middle of your endurance races :D

Same here too with the Elise, my can beat a Saleen S7 on Infineon Raceway with a bit of efford, but it isn't tuned to 1500BHP or something crazy:yuck: I believe it's 320BHP or something, it's VERY lightweight:tup: Still trying to drift with it......

B.t.w. Spyker rules:tup:

I raced the Callaway in a stock Rx-7 Rs-R and I beat it. The A.I really is damn slow...

well i was fiddleing aroud and also found the supra a good gripper..............but i had a hard time driting it

and the lotus is by far one of the best cars with its super light body.......car is amazing

i can race and drift pretty much any car with the same stock settings.

and who can't drag?

The Skyline, Really grippy, very fast and it is possible to drift after you've played with the settings.

My Cizeta is set up for drifting right now...

I plan to be the first man to have the Cizeta be race worthy..

im confused, ur drifting it or you're racing it? I like that car for it's rareness in real life, someone actually owns one in a nearby city in my area. But it's a pain to drive in GT4. I wonder if it has any reflection off the Diablo drive-wise. (I know it's somewhat of a prototype of the Diablo). mm.. sorry if that was kinda off-topic.

My all around car is my Nissan S14 silvia, I love this car. Right out of the box it has neutral steering which allows for grip or drift.

I mean I use it for both drifting and racing because I have both setups..

Im probably going to post my racing setup later. Its a good car when you get a good set-up, and it takes quite a while to get used to. Its not like the GT or similar..
