-----------------------------------

I drove the M3 GTR for the first time today and it is magnificent. The brakes are incredible and it slices through corners like butter with the most controllable oversteer I've come across so far. Definitely my favorite of the M cars. See for yourself how awesome it is:

For GT7 I won't be detuning anything, because PD apparently can't get their facts straight.

I would like you try them or whatever stock cars on Comfort soft tires. These SM are semi-slick and hold more than enough which don't allow to feel the chassis' tendency. And why not change oil? In real life, engines after the break in they put out more power in every case. For example, Mazda 3 1.6lt model 2004 had 113PS on dyno and Mazda said it had 105PS. R35 GTR model 2007 had 530PS on dyno but Nissan said 480-485PS. And so on with every pre 2005 Japanese sportscar which said 276HP but put out even 340PS (R34). Don't trust official numbers. Just a proposition though.

Wow. You drive that track beautifully. I struggle so much with Suzuka. That track definitely separates the men from the boys.
Its one of the most technical and demanding tracks in the world. Its like an slalom, you get one corner after another non-stop and few straight parts

In the Car Info screens for both M5 cars, the '05 should have 493 hp (which I detuned mine to for testing) while the '08 should have 499 hp (which I will keep.) Did PD go out of their way to confuse players and give false information?

Why detuning them? They should be tested stock, and not adjusted to match what the catalogue says. Catalogue performance is not the same as real performance.

Yes but sometimes the dealership stats do not match the garage stats, and sometimes neither of those stats match the Car Info stats! It's all very confusing. I already made it known that for GT7 there will be no detuning. Out of the 560+ cars I've tested I only detuned maybe 20 or 30 anyway.

Rotorist - I do not use SM tires. I use SH, and I find them to be the best tires to use if you were to put only one type of tire on every car in the game. As for oil changes, in real life when you buy a new car, you don't get a 20-30hp or more increase from doing an oil change when you bring it home. If someone can prove to me that an oil change would make these tests more realistic, I'd probably do it.

Edited first post with updated M5 '08 time. It's a 2:16 car, and only slightly worse than the '05 which has 7 less hp and 140 fewer kg. This is due to the '08 being Premium as well as having the 7-speed auto vs a 6-speed.
