All cars in order of stock PP

I want to make a list of all the cars in GT5 by base Performance Points, but may need help when it comes to distinguishing cars, like which ones are just exact carbon copies (Like the MX-5 as an extreme), and which have the same name but are completely different (Audi R8).

Here is what I have so far:

You can add cars to the list, just make sure they are in the right list, and that you add the respective colour in that tier.
 
Ok, so the entire thing is done. Now my question is this:
The game is advertised to have over a thousand cars. The official estimate for the game is 1074. So why in the All Cars list does the spreadsheet where I painstakingly (emphasis on PAIN) went through a list of every car in the game and put the performance points of ALL of them only go up to 996?

I even counted stealth models, chrome line models, the 3 versions of the X2010 with the exact same PP and every NASCAR as separate, even though in each example they had the same PP as the base model or each other, rendering it useless to differentiate them.

I did not count the SP models, as reading through their pages showed they could just be obtained as a colour option.

Now sure. The source I used could be wrong (This was my source btw). I could have skipped over some. That should not result in a discrepency of almost 80 cars. So, if anyone is insane enough, please, what are these 78 'phantom cars'?

The category lists pages, not individual cars - some cars on that wiki are combined into a single page like the #51 and #91 versions of the Oreca Viper that are identical outside of some livery details. The actual car list on there might be more helpful.

I didn't use that as there are lots of egregious duplicates. At least with the stealth models and chrome line models, you couldn't get them anywhere else, and at least with the NASCARs, they are all at least a little different from each other, and its already a huge stretch to even include those ones. The duplicates in that list are only different by name, so I didn't count them.
