All cars should be the same?

It wouldn't be so bad if you could tune the suspension at least. Other than that typically the finish order doesn't change from the start order. So boring.

Finish order will change because the better drivers will get forward in position.. and the ones behind will have no excuses

Gr.3 isn't too bad, some cars have advantages over others but you can tune the suspension to suit the driver pretty well and gain all kinds of advantages yourself.

I'm not doing Sport mode until we get suspension tuning tbh. Or at least until I admit defeat if they never actually implement it.

Interesting because what I've seen is the ones who finish last are usually the ones punted, slammed, or wrecked in one form or another. Occasionally it's from people's own mistakes.

Up front on the other hand the most consistent and error free driver usually wins. And that typically the pole sitter. Unless wrecked. I rarely see 1-3 change positions. There's no way to challenge someone one on a track which has 90% full throttle. It's the same with oval tracks except the car which has the best power to weight ratio wins.

I don't see it happening in the gr. Cars. But the one makes definitely need it. I understand the power weight thing but tbh it's the suspension setup that will win the race. Perhaps that's what they want to avoid though. About it being about the car and not the driver. Who knows.

You are saying what I'm saying.. excluding punts and slams that is a different matter.. and if there is a problem with the guys who qualify better to just stay in front, you are suggesting canceling qualifying.. that's an option.

The reason for this is that they're all RWD. PD tweaked the FWD handling model and suddenly all the FWD Gr.3 cars were incredibly fast compared to the others. It just needs readjusting, that's all.

I suppose you could for the one makes. I'd much rather have a suspension setup vs no qualifying. I see it as 2 challenges. One for a properly setup car for the track. Two driving said car to victory. They can exclude the HP/weight portion and just focus on suspension and gearing or just suspension. I hate all the one make cars they've used this far. It's a giant land yacht race.

Yes they have chosen stupid cars for one make, so far. But it was fun in the sense that the bad drivers couldn't win by just taking the best car.
Hope to see better one makes in the future. And better balanced cars all together.

I am fine with how it works at the moment. What needs to be changed is the matching algorithms to make races closer. If they did this, then whether I drive a megane or a ferrari the race will still be exciting.
This is the third solution to the BOP issue, it doesn't solve the top end issue though.

They will re-adjust it soon, and again after that, and again and again, and again. It will be an ongoing process until it's a good as it can be.
And then, if we're lucky, they'll implement tuning again. Then we can start all over.

Actually if the goal is to have fairly equal overall lap times between all makes and models of cars within a class for each race then the BoP will probably need to be set differently for each individual circuit. What is one cars advantage at one course could be its major weakness on a different course.
