I had been playing gt6 on ps3 with my G27 for a long while.

Ordered a drivehub from Canada... and took more than 2 week to ship to me..

Updated the drive up and fired it up with the g27 and it is not playble.

spin out... everywhere llike everything is ultra sensitive.

I am not sure if i am a bad driver or if it is some hardware issue.

I fired up other game like Dirt Rally and Forza 7 and... things is similar..

Is it me? (bad driver from GT6 Training) or... some hardware issue with the G27/Drivehub/Xbox combo..

i hope some one can help me out.

I have Asserto Ultimate edition in the mail also... I really hope i can sort this g27/drivehub issue...

While the transition from GT to other racing titles can sometimes take a little time it does sound like you're have issues with the hardware. Are you sure the wheel has been calibrated within each game? It sounds like it's not if it's overly sensitive.

Within PC2 there's a few options for adjusting and smoothing the wheel inputs but it needs to be calibrated fully first.

Maybe someone with a drivehub could also add a little advice. @rj5992 I'm assuming you use one with your G27 setup, is there anything special you need to do? I would think the Xbox and PS4 are similar.

I use a GIMX adapter rather than a drive hub, but I may be able to help.

First off @scoobychau , can you fire up PC2, start a practise session and change your HUD to telemetry view? It should look like the screen below:

IMG_20190113_225205.jpg

In the bottom left you'll see a horizontal bar. That tells you how much steering input you're putting in. Check that, the bar should fill up on one side once you've completed 1 1/4 turns off the wheel from centre.

On the bottom right you'll see a gear and rpm indicator. Around that are 4 bars. The two white bars show the same value and display the clutch position (this works whether manual or automatic are selected, even if you aren't using a physical clutch). The green bar displays your throttle position and the red bar shows the brake position. Again, they should only be full once the maximum input had been applied.

If this isn't the case, then you need to calibrate your wheel and pedals. In PC2 there is a menu for this, there are countless guides online but if you're stuck then let me know and I'll walk you through it here.

Us DriveHub/GIMX users have the added issue of what settings are being outputted to the console, so check to see what the value for degrees of rotation should be. If there's a setting for it in DriveHub, then both the DriveHub and PC2 should be set to 900°

Oh we're all a friendly bunch over here. :)

Good advice from RJ. Once you've got your drivehub fully sorted...

There is a online manual for PC2 that's very useful. Click on THIS to go to the options and settings page.
About a third of the way down is the info about the controls and below that is some details about configuration. If you still have problems after calibration and setting it to 900° you could try lowering the steering sensitivity option a little at a time. Also increasing the speed sensitivity can be increased to smooth out inputs at higher speeds.

@rj5992 @IfAndOr

you two are Amazing people...
i will have to take some time to try it out with what you have suggested.
many thanks and respect from my end.

Assuming the hardware side is ok, think carefully about what type of car to try. Pick a track which you know well and a low powered car on standard, default settings - recommended cars to start on are either the Ginetta Junior or a Road G Class Ford Escort RS1600. These are slow enough and rear wheel drive - things happen more slowly with these cars which gives you the chance to learn about the physics of the game and the transition states of the vehicle. I suggest all aids off and learn the game with one car and one familiar track, then gradually build up. I went from GT6 to PC1 then PC2 and found it took a long time to adjust to a new game after years and many hours of GT6.

Well what happen was....
Is my first time in Project car world.
And Is not as simple as i expected. I started with some motor sport car and fail completly. Then i try to find a slower car and still fail... My final try was with the go kart... when i fail even more. I swapped the disc to Dirt Rally.. And continue to fail... :(

Will wait till next time when i have some personal time to try pj car 2 again.

Like u guys suggested
I should make sure hardware is right b4 further testing.

I was seeking for an app for the xbox1 where i can test the wheel. But seems like no such apps exists...

I am so glad u guys are here to help..

There is not much help in the logitec group or the drivehub group where i come from...

Karts are actually not that good of a thing to use to try to get used to the game. They drive strange, like nothing else in the game, and are pretty twitchy with a few quirks(and have pretty strange force feedback too). Slower cars(maybe the GT5s or Road E cars for examples) are a bit easier to adjust to how it works.

The go to car to start in Project Cars 2 in my opinion is the Ginetta Junior. Great to get the physics down, to search for your FFB settings.
Moving up from there to the Ginetta GT5. Some of the road cars can be even more difficult than the Junior, even in E Class.

Sounds like you need to get your degree of rotation sorted out on your wheel first though. As stated above, get it to 900 degrees.

YEEE ha... alll problem solved.
Boo Yeahhh... i am sooo Hyped

Replaced the Micro USB cable connecting to the controller fixed all.

So it is not a Work/Not Work situation.

bad cable result is PARTLY working with some force feed back and not playable result.
good cable fixed this issue.

Imagine so much trouble can be eliminated if Drivehub Includes one more usb cables....

i am all happy and ready to Project Car2!

TUNED karts however are a joy to drive! Look for my career tunes on this forum and you will see a stable kart tune with final gear ratios for every single game track. Was entertaining to be watching a stream a few days back with a total beginner struggle to get round Monaco (yes Azure circuit..!) during online practice. He copied tune then went from last to 2nd in the race despite some rather pit inducing driving. The discord chat was incredulous. WHAT did you change in setup!? Good luck! Career is fun at times but often a nightmare with ai all over the place.

I can vouch for Sloppy! I can't tell you how many times his tunes have saved my career. I still have the tab open in my browser on my cell phone with all his tunes

I tried the karts numerous times and found them to be impossible to drive. Now, I'm thinking about taking up the challenge and trying sloppy's tunes

Thanks man! I've actually been doing months of work tuning a car in each and every single class in the game so anyone playing multi-player will always be able to pick a good car and tune when the host picks a class they are not familiar with. Setting ideal brake pressures with ducts front and back with max radiator settings for 10 lap races. Haven't posted any of the new ones as it was a lot of work last time! Definitely try the karts. I figured was a good challenge to get a stable tune as it seems most people hate them ,so I spent a very long night last year tweaking until I was happy as well as setting final gear for each track which makes a huge difference on lap times. I actually swear that karts are fun now!
