All gold, but console broke down and lost save.

Hi All,

Not sure if anyone would know or not, but are the prizes to be given out linked to your PSN account, or are they linked to the game save in GT Academy 2012? I've just had my PS3 crash out so i've lost a few game saves inc GT Academy 2012 (and some of my GT5 game progress).

Don't be so sure. I would assume it's linked to your save. If the save is gone, you may be out of luck.

doesn't the website say to turn on GT5 and then go to your gifts after july 4? i think its saved to your PSN

Just to be on the safe side, i've gone and completed them all again to gold level, so hopefully I won't miss out on the gifts when they're sent out.

Bumping this thread with a question

Can i still play my GT Academy, i've been really busy on the last few days and i couldn't download. So if i download the game (which is still on PSN i checked already) I can still play it, and get the cars if i gold it?

You can definitely still play it, but i'm not sure for how long, but it won't let you upload times anymore, but should hopefully register them on your system if nothing else.

Sadly we can't play it anymore

Downloaded it today and when i was about to start the 1st round i got the message GT Academy is over on July 1st

I can't believe i missed it by one day... *rage*

I'm really disappointed that you can't even try the later events. I just finished moving to a new place and just got internet back. I'm missing 5 through 8 :/ I didn't care about the rankings but I was hoping to at least try them to unlock the cars.
