So I have a little dilema. I have two tournies left to complete before I can go into the extreme hall. The All Japan GT and the GT World Championship. Well, I have NO CARS that are in those categories (with a chance of winning, that is). I best car I have (in my opinion) is the Camaro LM Race Car. I also have the Option Z (which I've tried using to compete in the All Japan GT, but get wasted).

So what should I do?

The Camaro should massacre the JGTC field... But isn't that race in the Japanese Hall? That would mean it's not required for the GTWC OR Extreme Hall.

Also, take the Cizeta Moroder (prize from Supercar Festival) to the Italian Cup. Take the Alfa 155 Touring Car prize from that to the DTM, to win the CLK-GTR. That car is good enough to win the GTWC and get you into Extreme Hall.

GTWC: win the Toyota 88-CV from the El Capitan enduro (if you are not yet at 25% then do manufacturer races until you are).

AJGT: I think that the MAZDA RX-8 Concept LM Race Car '01 won in the RX-8 Cup is eligible and will win easily also the MAZDA RX-7 LM Race Car '01 from the Roadster 4 Hours Endurance will win easily or the HONDA NSX-R LM Edition Race Car '02 from Super Speedway 150 Miles (use 88-CV to win).

I used the Minolta 88C-V from the El Capitan Enduance (added stage 4 turbo) to do the GTWC, and used the Nissan (Fairlady) 350Z LM Concept (turbo added again) to do the Japanese Championship. Won 8 out of 10 races in both counts.

OK guys he has been told. Don't go into an off topic discussion about what everyone uses in w/e tournament. And uRabbit please look at the stickys, and search before making a thread, with 80,000+ users your question is 99.9% of the time been posted before, and before, and before.

I'm so glad this is how i started off my current profile. I just got the Mazda RX8 by getting all silver in the International B licence test. Then did the RX8 cup to win the RX8 Concept LM, that car can DEFINITELY take you a long way in the game.

I'm getting my ass REEMED in the GTWC! I'm in the AMG Race Car, I've plopped in that $90,000 turbo, and I'm getting wasted by the competition. I qualified 3rd. I had my b-spec driver race for me, 'cause it's better than I am at preserving tire wear. I had it running on Medium racing tires. Well, the fifth lap, my damn b-spec driver pits without me telling him to. But the tires were warn to sh**. So I hopped in the cockpit with some new tires and ended up in last place in no time.

So how the hell do I win this race? I've tried Hard tires but they just don't have enough grip...

First off, NEVER use B-Spec in the GT World Championhip, especially with the CLK GTR. It's a long shot to win the championship in A-Spec and is impossible to do it in B-Spec. If you have gotten to the endurances, just do what every other player has done. El Capitan 200, win the MINOLTA Toyota 88C-V. But don't put on a stage 4 turbo. And maybe to try to keep things interesting, try using only racing medium tires.

I've already completed this series using the Audi R8 but may I ask why he shouldn't put on stage 4 turbo? Is it because there's no need or does it wear down the tires more?

Both. Not only is a stage 4 turbo unneccesary, but I bet it would increase tire wear drastically (I have never put a stage 4 turbo on any of my cars, so that's just my guess.)

Well without that turbo, my AMG wouldn't have been able to keep up. But I guess that didn't really help, did it?

Read this. Should give you ideas as to what tyres to use and when you can expect the AI cars to pit.

If you're after an easier ride though, enter and exit about 8 times after a console reset. You should get a lineup that has Toyota GT-One Race Car as the hardest competition, but also has Camaro LM race car, Chapparal 2D, BMW McLaren F1 and Ford GT LM all of which are pretty slow.
If you can't beat this field in a Stage 4 turbo'd CLK-GTR, you need to go away and practice the tracks, a lot!
The field I raced against above is the lineup that comes up just before the one I suggest you try comes by, so look out for it. ;)

I've got that topic pulled up in a tab. Thanks. :)

I've found the line-up you mentioned. Before that, I purchased the Stage 3 turbo kit, as 837hp (correct?) just didn't seem like enough.

So I shouldn't use the b-spec driver for any large tournies? Why not?

And I think my main problem is that I haven't really had enough experience racing quicker cars. It kind just threw from cars that top-out at 130mph, to these race cars. *shrug*

I'm not the right person to ask about B-spec, my stats for B-spec are 0-0-0-0 with 0miles completed!
In my opinion you shouldn't use the B-spec driver at all! :yuck:

Alrighty. I won the Minolta race car, and am currently b-specing the GTWC. I came in 4th the first race, 1st the second, 2nd the third, 1st the third, 1st the fifth, and we'll see how far I get from there.

Thanks a lot guys!
