Up untill about a few days ago, maybe 4 or 5 days ago I thoughly enjoyed coming into GT Planet and reading through all the new stuff about GT4, reading chaser_fans thread "Proud owner..." and I could not wait to see what new clips Eggheads had posted, and all the new screen shots being posted.. But now every time I come in and have a look at the new threads its just filled with people b1tchin about GT4, like LFRANCOF483's "B-spec mode is a waste of disc space" and even some of the older threads now being filled with s**t, people complaining about one thing or another, for god sake if I read one more post about the lack of 2 player battle!! Give it a rest, its not in the game, tuff crap! I think everyone who visits GTPlanet knows this now, wishing for it isn't gonna make a difference... Right I've said my piece, I'm now gonna go and hide cause I'm sure I will get flamed.. Later fellow GT lovers *wink, wink* :nervous:
 
What did you expect? Everyone sat around here speculating for around 2 years now, the hype building and building, like GT4 would be the second coming of Christ. No game can fully live up to that kind of build up. Personally, I'm really excited about all the clips I've seen and am anxious to drive lots of cars on lots of tracks, regardless of how good the AI is or how bad B-Spec mode is, which I won't use anyway.
 
yeah i agree. theres no point monning as it isnt going to change anything. get on with the game if u want and tell us about good stuff. i dont mind hearing possitive critisism but plain rubbishing of the greatest ever ps2 game is stupid
 
Yeah the honey moon period finished after about 3 days. Time for the divorce and the re-marriage when the PAL version comes out.

All this moanings really spoiled the mood here I think, theres not much you can do about it but IMO it's worse putting up with this moaning than the constant delays weve all endured.

To be honest I'm still fairly happy with good old GT3, but I'm just tired of the same old tracks, and I would like all cars available in Arcade mode. So GT4 should fit the bill quite nicely. Improved driving physics are just icing on the cake for me.
 
yes stop the b1cthing. all I hear is waa waa waa when only a handfull of people have played the game
 
I'm not *****ing about the game at all though sprite, its just all the negative things I'm hearing pi**es me off.. I'm really looking ofrward too it, I never expected the game to be pefect but it seems alot of people did, and now they feel somewhat let down and want to complain about certain letdowns, which I guess they are all entiled to do eh?
 
It's just like the new Star Wars movies. The hype was so great, it got to a point where nothing PD released could ever live up to everyone's expectations. And so you get a lot of nitpicking idiots on the "OMGGT4SUXX" train.

I agree with the negativeness just that do we really need a thread about it?

GT4 looks the bomb and even though some parts dont appeal to me im still going to buy it and im sure i will play it for the same amount of years ive been playing GT3. This game is looking like hardcore porn for car enthusiasts.
 
i wasn't *****ing about the game itself...in fact, i LOVE GT4, my gf got mad at me last night cause i have been lagging whenever we go out cause i'm always saying, "one more hour" hahahaha...i love all the tracks, all the cars.....I LOVE comparing lap times between cars by driving them myself, not letting b-spec mode ruin the fun

i just thought B-spec mode was almost completely useless......"the real DRIVING simulator" right? if i wanted to WATCH the cars, i would just watch SPEED channel, that is, when they're not playing NASCAR 21 hours of the day

yes, i know it's useful when driving the 24 hour races.....

As far as errors go there are only a few minor things that people are turning into a big deal. I mean look at GT3 it had quite a few errors (ever read the 4WD race description in the background? Talk about some boched english) but no one cared about those after the game had been released for a few months (it still managed to go greatest hits really fast) and im sure after GT4 is released no one will care again about certain minor things. As far as I can tell most of the complaining comes from people having to wait for a game they know they are gonna love but are tired of waiting and are trying to keep themselves entertained by posting complaints.

All I can recomend is sit back relax ignore the whiners stick with the good threads and wait till you have your own copy.

P.S. This thread in my opinion is only a small notch above the whiner threads.
 
I don't have a problem with people saying they are dissapointerd that GT4 doesn't have feature A or feature B. But it does seem of late, that people are just repeating what others have said already.

Only a few people have played the game, and those who have not played it can't really pass judgement yet. Maybe the game is so great, that you won't care the 2p battle is missing.

From my perspective it looks like a few threads of constructive criticism and page after page of people complaining about it.

Thanks Jamie, thats what I mean.. Once you have heard the "No 2 player garage battle" about 500 times, it, well gets kinda boring...

really? no two player garage battle...haven't even checked that out yet....hhahaha

edit: yup just checked, none....oh well.....i actually hardly ever played 2 player mode in GT3 as well......
