would you settle for all the cars that have ever appeared in the gt series (plus the newly announced gt4 cars of course), or would you want new but fewer cars as it looks likely to be in reality.

i ask because pd has all the licenses to include these 'old' gt cars already and so they can all theoretically be in gt4, and i am pretty happy if they are all included.
id rather they get these in than wait a year for a few ferraris.

I'd like a mix, all thoes cars you posted that appeared in previouse GT's but dissapeared were good and I owuld welcome them back (Imagine an online race between the original Speed 12 and the new one). I'd like to see a mix of old and new and I think GT4 will deliver that, I bet the Espace F1, GT90, Cultus, Cobra coupe and Elise GT1 come back along with a few others in that list.

id like the option to drive all of them.

besides even just looking at them in a showroom is good. and now that we've got the photomode...

i want to beat all the cheater f1 cars with a tuned espace f1!!

i want to show the escudo who's really king of the wheelies with the HKS 180SX!!!!

I am pretty sure at some point KY said all the cars to have previously been in would be in, but I don't remember where I saw it. I am sure if I can't find the quote and source someone on here will.

I want every car from GT1 2 and 3 to be in 4, the graphics and physics upgrade alone would be worth more than we pay for the game, but I'm liking the highly possible chance to run a Ferrari out of gas:)

Who cares? You'll never drive half of them anyway.
First of all, I (and most of us here I guess) intend to drive them all, even if only once.
Second, it's not only a matter of amount, it's more to do with variety.

Someone else raised this, but I'm pretty sure such a statement was never made. You may be confused because all the tracks from previous GT games are returning, not necessarily the cars.

What makes you assume because PD had a license for previous GT games they still have it? By that reasoning EA will never relinquish the Ferrari license for the rest of eternity, dashing the hopes of quite a few board members.

But those car's in youre list I would like to have them of the bat.

KY did say that well at least that's what they said in IGN during an interview with him.

Speak for yourself - i have no intention of driving any of the 'shopping trolleys' unless i have to - i can drive them for real if i wanted to. And as for the 22 Skylines, 13 Lancer Evo's and 15 Subaru Imprezas (all at 276 bhp as standard) - i think, like in previous GTs, I'll probably try only a couple of the most varied models. So, unfortunatly that covers about 150 cars that i'll never have any inclination to drive.

Toyota Chaser LM edition (gt1)
Mitsubishi FTO LM edition (gt1)
TVR Cerbrera LM edition (gt1)
Nissan Silva Dajshin (all time favorite!!!) (gt2)

My God! What a pair of miserable sods ;)

Varity is the spice of life, or so people keep telling me. I think it's just really nice to have that choice when selecting a car. I find that racing against my mates in a rubbishy old Toyota DB takes more skill than in a Honda NSX, just for the simply reason, that you can't afford to lose any speed in a slower car and you have to drive the car in a different way because the handling is normally a lot worse. Also it's nice to be reminded how good the better cars are, by driving the rubbishy ones every now and then.

Cheers

Thanks j8mie!

Varity is the spice of life, thats exactly why i don't want loads of very, very similar cars.

As for the 'rubbishy' shopping cars, i agree you need some kind of bench mark, i just wish there wasn't so many of them. Do we need 3 different Yaris?

Yes! 3 different Yarises would be awesome. Or infact, we could have every yaris trim level for each different region. I mean you could have the Yaris (European version) Vitz (Japanese version) Echo (Aus/NZ/America? version). Then you have the different trim levels and you have about 6 different Yarises! :D Oh and you could throw in a couple of Tuner company Yarises, so say a Top Secret one, a SARD one and the pink supercharged Yaisho Factory one!!!!!!11111 LOLOLOLOLOL

On second thoughts that doesn't sound too bad.

Sexay. :D

My pleasure Cracker :D

I know what you mean about having 30 different versions of the same car. Most people won't notice the difference (if any exists) between them. However for me it's still nice to have them in regardless, so long as having them in doesnt' prevent other different cars making it into the final game.

Cheers

Jamie

Hey! You forgot the Unisia Jecs skyline JGCT from GT2. I have missed that car so much , I hope they put it into GT4.

To be honest, i'd be happy to have none of the old ones, as long as we have as many interesting new ones instead. - I've driven all the old ones many, many times.

...but then i start thinking.... GT4 without:

Mazda 787B

TVR Cerbera LM

Nissan Skyline Silhouette**

Lancia Stratos

Saleen Mustang Wide Body

XJR15 Race Car

Elan S2 '64 (giant killer)

Europa (giant killer)

Road Runner Superbird

Espace F1

Mustang GT350

Mini 63(?) monte carlo rally (giant killer)

...could i do with out those cars?

(i suppose i did do without most of them in GT3)

I hope they will put in those cars :
1. Unisa Jecs
2. Teivon Tampio Fo JGTC
3. Lancia Stratos
4. Nissan Skyline Silhouette Racin Car
5. Nissan Silva Dajshin
6. TVR Cerbrera LM edition
8. Tvr speed 12 LM
9. Bh Apex trueno JGTC
10. Re amemiya rx-7 JGTC

Look! It's another wishlist thread!

Sigh.

That Yaris stands as a testament to the fundamental stumbling blocks on the human evolutionary path.

Mine was a Misslist actually - there is a difference.

That Yaris stands as a testament to the fundamental stumbling blocks on the human evolutionary path.

its not that the Yaris is a bad car - its practically a 'class' leader - its just that the 'class' its in is extreamely dull!

i covered most of that list in my original 'reminder' list anyway.

i think there are way worse cars than the yaris like these little suzukis and daihatsus and just K cars in general.

TheCracker
Mine was a Misslist actually - there is a difference.

Technically, that's just a pedantic contextuality difference. If it was a list of cars you missed, it would probably go in a thread relating to one of the other GT games, if it's in the GT4 forum it should be related to GT4, thus you 'miss' these cars from the game (which we don't honestly know won't be included). If you miss something, you generally have some desire to see it return, it's an intrinsic part. Thus, you desire these cars to return in GT4.

However my comment wasn't directed at you anyway, no matter how well intentioned your post, the thread degenerated soon enough.

who here prefers the '97 r390 gt1 (in red and black) to the blue 98 one?

the 97 race car looks better and did well at le mans too, the three entrants coming 2nd, 3rd and 5th or something.

but the 98 road car looks better.

Maybe you don't know what you are missing then...
Sometimes those 'shopping trolleys' are very well sorted cars, and much more fun to drive than some of bigger and more powered cars.
Also, it's a great challenge to fine tune those cars and beat the crap out of the bigger ones.

Anyway, just because you don't agree doesn't mean I am speaking for myself.
Do you realize you're saying that you represent everyone here...?

Speaking for themselves is all anyone should really ever do.

I actually agree about the Nissan thing, same way I feel the Zent striped 98 GT-ONE looked better, but meh.
