If you are in the top 20 in your region, post how long you've been driving on a wheel/dfgt/g27/fanatec and what place your in. i just switched from being on a controller for 10 yrs or so to a wheel for the 1st time. I was just wondering how much time/experience the top drivers have with their wheel

ill start

Southeast/2nd place currently/4weeks

SouthEast. 19th place and ive been using the DFGT since October 2010 and is also when i first got GT5P. I had just got a PS3 finally the month before.

Legend has it I came out of the womb with a wheel in hand, and the pedals were in the placenta.

Southeast, 5th (last time I checked). I've been adapting to a Fanatec GT3RS Clubsport since the middle-ish of Round 2.

NE 13th I just started using a wheel right when first round started. Ive only put a couple hours in so far. 1.41.001 indy and 2.19.5 eifel both i know i can improve on.

I race with a Playseat/G27 combo and I've had it since March of 2010. It's my first wheel, but I have been playing racing games since Papyrus brought out Nascar 2 on the PC. I sit in the top 20 in the midwest.

this is my awesome set-up. in place of the microsoft wheel in the picture is a dfgt now and obviously no longer forza on the screen. Anyways thats a nightstand/desk flipped sideways with the pedals inside the bottom compartment with a v-rocker chair. And i just put the helmet there in the pic for ***** and giggles but i do wear the gloves or else i end up with blisters.

9th in Midwest - DFGT since 2005 (GT4 on PS2). I switch between the controller and the wheel pretty often. If the tires are hard or the stakes are high I'll use the wheel, all the other A-spec races get a controller.

About 6th in the Northeast, haven't checked the rankings today though as I expect I've fallen. Purchased GT5 the day it came out, had my DFGT and played GTP for a few months before that.

8th in the Midwest at the moment. I'm using an old DFP from GT4 - not a bad wheel, but it's old enough now that it routinely loses its center calibration (naturally, this tends to happen mid-corner :ouch:). I'm looking forward to replacing it with a DFGT from round 1. I've been using a wheel since GT3 and Nascar Racing 4.

currently 8th in NE, i was like 5th yesterday. ive been using gamepad since i got my ps1 with test drive 5 and GT1. about 7 years ago i started using my gamepad in PC race sims for the hell of it, lfs, rfactor, etc lol
