Spring is starting now (where I live), and that is signaled by 2 things. Warmer air, and allergies. It's already started hitting me in the face. I have a dry throat and stuffed nose. I know it's allergies because I had about 6 colds during the winter and this doesn't feel like them.

Why not tell us how your allergies are effecting you?

Terrible so far... My allergies started kicking two days ago, it was really warm and sunny (for Michigan) and we started doing a lot of our spring cleaning at work. Instant runny nose, not to mention a small cough I've been dealing with. Today, its no different. My nose is still really stuffed up (started with one nostril, now both), and its a constant drip.

Great.

So, I've got some meds from Wal Greens I'm taking... Claritin D or whatever. Should help. It better... 10 pills costs me $10!

Mine are yet to start, although sometimes I get my allergies during winter therefore I have to take mt special tablets all year round. Its a pain in the bum but you certainly don't feel the effects of them so harshly.

The generic stuff is about half price and worked exactly the same for me.

The allergy season?

If someone is allergic to cat hair, does that mean it only starts now? People are allergic to things all year round, you know.

It's worse in spring and summer, when pollen, dust, and pollution in the air are at a maximum. I'm not allergic to anything, so I'll have to take others' words for it :D.

I just recovered from the flu, fever, headache and coughing a few weeks ago. (good thing I was better before I went on holiday) But now its starting to come back! Now, I got plenty of phlegm in my body and I have diarrhea. its not pleasant at all...... :ouch:

Exactly.

I'm allergic to strawberries and ricers all year.

I was brought in by the fancy box and the "sale" stickers on the regular stuff. Oh well. My runny nose has pretty much stopped, but I can only breathe out of one nostril right now. We'll see how things change when I go to work... Hopefully it won't be bad.

I have an allergy for farm animals, especially horses. Luckily I'm not a cowboy or a Mongol. So nope, No, I feel normal.

I don't really have any allergies that bother me, so I don't have much to worry about. The worst that I'll get it itchy eyes once in a blue moon.

I start to get snot and sneezing in March with the trees and suchlike, it lasts a month or so then I get it in September too. I already take strong antihistamines for other skin related allergies (i'm allergic to the water where I live) so I don't have too much snot at the moment.

I don't have any season related allergies that i know off.
But even if i had, it wouldn't be a problem with weather like this.
It's supossed to be spring, but it's snowing for the first time this year :)
It didn't snow all winter.

Guess your answer on the "how often do you shower" thread is the one marked: "haven't been near water...".👍

My balls itch.

We could make a whole new poll out of that, how about it? Seeing the nose pick poll and whatnot...

"How hard do your balls itch?"

1 - Not at all

2 - Not much

3 - Same as usual

4 - Really hard, I'm scratching them 'till they bleed

5 - I'm a woman

I used to have heavy allergical reactions till two years ago, they were so heavy that my eyes build up a layer of yellow jelly when a specific tree was blooming, I couldnt see anything and I had to take antibiotics before my tear sacs started to fester. It sounds as nasty as it felt..:indiff:
Had that since I was four years old or so; coughing, sneezing, itching and a nose like a waterfall included.....

However, since two years I dont have it anymore, most of my other allergies also disappeared, I had a level 4 (highest level possible) allergy against nuts, and now I can eat all kinds of them. Two years ago I would have been dead if I touched a single walnut with my tongue and now I can eat them like krispies.

Two years ago I had allergies against nuts, corn, rye, a number of pollen, house dust and cats. All of them vanished in a time of one year. Now I can eat everything listed above, I have a cat and no problems about pollen at all.

No allergical symptoms for now and hopefully for never .:)

On Topic:
I took my medicine in the winter, so for now, I still don’t get much affected by my allergies, only sneezing once and while.

Yep they are getting me. Give me a stuffed up nose all day. It's usually about 3 weeks of the year I'm like this and then they fall off.
