No, not the Test Drive series, but do you think we should be able to test drive ANY CAR before we buy it? I mean, any car that we can buy. Those ones that we can't buy, but are shown, I don't think we should be able to test drive, because it wouldn't do us any good, but the buyable ones would help out a LOT, especially when you start off with so little money.

I remember seeing a VEEEEERY early video of the first GT game that actually had this option in it. But I could see the uses for it I mean you could see if the car was to your liking without having to buy it. But the test drive would have to be limited to a designated test track i think.

You can easily test drive on Arcade Mode? It's a good idea but then it would spoil the surprise for Prize Cars.. (like you could test drive it before you won it :chkflag:

well say just limit it to the road going cars then none of the special cars or race cars.

Um, that's what I was talking about when I said cars you could buy, not the cars you couldn't. So, don't get me wrong. I'd love to have hidden companies(Like Spoon in GT3) where you can't test drive, but for VW, Ford, GM, D-C, and all of those(Yeah, the main companies that are non-Japanise, because hey, look, in half of the Japanise companies, they have 20 different models of the same car, so you don't need to test drive those), we should be able to test drive things like the Beetle, A2, CLK, and all of those....

they are working in this option for GT4. before u buy a car online (with game credits, not real $$$) u can test drive the car.

Yeah, but that's just the online cars. What about the offline cars?

And this is KIND OF off topic, but does this mean that after the game comes on disk, there won't be any 'suprise' cars that you can't buy except for the ones on the disk? That would stink. We need to have updates and stuff for that game so it's like The Never Ending Story, you just keep on racing, and racing, and racing, until you pass out from lack of food, water, and sleep. Then, once you wake up again, you start the cycle all over again:D

Take THAT Everquest!

Ummmm, here's how you test drive:

1) Load your game.
2) Buy a car, and drive it a while.
3) If you don't like it, reload your game without saving.
4) Voila.

But I agree, it will be a must for online purchases - and online upgrades, too.

I agree with that idea too
However, if you purchase something that is not undoable(e.g. Weight Reduction), you shouldn't be able to test drive for that option.

BUt if your thinking of buying a car say $100,000... if you have the money, buy it... test it... and if its ****, re-load the game.

But then you could be wasting time trying to get that money, rather than finding out, 'Hey, if I just use 75K instead of 100K, I get a better performance out of my current car!'

Well if thats the case then you have alot of money to do it up or for your next project.
